= A continuation of "36. Due to push". Charlotte and Mia arrive at Sorscha's place. The sun is still shining bright, despite it being the afternoon. The two couples enjoy the british sun whilst it lasts.

The sun was warm but not oppressive, casting a gentle glow over the garden as Charlotte, Sorscha, Mia, and Clodagh gathered for a picnic in their garden. Sorscha was a bit worried about the group going outside so close to Clodagh's due date, so they settled to stay in the house, but out enough in the green, to enjoy the sunny weather, which Char thought would inevitably boost all their moods.

The garden was a serene escape, bursting with blooming flowers and the fresh scent of grass, offering a perfect sanctuary for the group. Clodagh, heavily pregnant and anxious about venturing out, was visibly more at ease in the comfort of their home. She was enjoying the shade and sighed out as she watched her wife and Charlotte interact.

Charlotte spread out a large blanket on the lawn, arranging the picnic basket and a few cushions for extra comfort. Sorscha settled onto the blanket with a content smile, and Clodagh, cradling her round belly, carefully lowered herself onto a nearby garden recliner.

"Isn't this just perfect?" Charlotte smiled, handing Clodagh a glass of lemonade. "I think we all needed this."

Clodagh nodded, her eyes closed as she soaked in the moment. "Absolutely. I can't remember the last time I felt this relaxed. Especially with this one on the way."

"I can imagine, the last week feels like you're begging them to just peep out and release you from the sleepless nights." Charlotte gave her a reassuring rub on her back.

Mia, on the other hand, true to Charlotte's suggestion, was bustling around in the kitchen. She was close enough to the garden that the soft clinking of utensils and the occasional waft of delicious scents drifted over. Every now and then, she'd pop her head out the door, contributing to the conversation or sharing a quick laugh. She was trying to eavesdrop a little just to hear Charlotte's words of wisdom.

After all, Mia did dream of having kids someday, well. Maybe...

"Clodagh, how are you really feeling?" Charlotte asked, shifting into her role as the seasoned mother of the group. "Sorscha and I were having a chat earlier, we got onto the topic of your worries about becoming a mum?"

Clodagh opened her eyes wider, a hint of anxiety flickering in her gaze. "Honestly, I'm terrified. What if I mess up? What if I'm not a good mother? I don't even know what I'm doing half the time. I mean I know you've been there and done it twice, but surely it didn't get any less daunting with Lizzie. I'm so certain it will have been just as hard, if not harder than the experience you had with Georgie."

Charlotte reached out and squeezed Clodagh's hand. "Every new mother feels that way. I remember when I had Georgia, I was so scared. But you learn as you go, and the love you and Sorscha will share for your baby girl will definitely outshine all the worries you have."

Charlotte continued. "Even when with my ex-hubby, things were smooth with the girls. We both loved and still love them, and hopefully when they're old enough, they will have understood they are privileged enough to have parents that truly love them. I think it will be the exact same with you and your little one. You shouldn't worry too much about the future or the past, just focus on the present and be there as much as you can for her as her mothers."

"What I mean to say, is that people don't necessarily need to be deep in love or even be in love, to be there for their children. To be amazing parents. Love comes in all shapes and forms. You and Sorscha are just so lucky to be in a really good position to have her. You're happily married, and it is so obvious how much you love each other. Leave all your worries behind, and yes, from someone who has been there, done that. I have no doubt you will cope much better than you think."
