Jaden was still observing his new Miracle Dimension Fusion Spell card that evening. He was very keen to learn who exactly it was who sent him this uniquely powerful card. Yubel, Banner and Winged Kuriboh were also curious.
"Whoever sent it was not of this world." said Banner, "After all, Jaden, it fell from the sky."
"So it was someone from space?" asked Jaden.
"We can't be sure." put in Yubel, "But I will investigate the area where we first saw the card fall...and then hopefully we will have a lead. However, it seems quite clear that this card sender is on our side to help defeat Nightshroud."
Jaden, Banner and Winged Kuriboh nodded in agreement.
Yubel's spirit vanished, to investigate the skies.
Jaden was sleeping in the Slifer Red Dorm with Syrus, whom was sound asleep after the long day, but most of Jaden's Allies were still up on guard, which was all very well...but Jaden was still wondering what Nightshroud was up to and what Trueman's last words meant.....and little did he know that the answers were coming sooner than he had expected.

In his laboratory, Professor Eisenstein was investigating himself. He had been scanning the Earth for alternate dimensions for a long while and today he had a small discovery.
Earlier that day, a rift, albeit much too small for any man or being to fit through had opened in the skies and then closed shortly after, but the subsequent scan had indicated that something did indeed come through the tiny rift, but he didn't know what.
He then used his global scan to work out whereabouts the rift opened and what was around or beneath it, and to his surprise, the dimensional rift opened directly above the Duel Academy.
"But that would mean..." came Eisenstein's astonished voice, "that whatever came through that rift must be at the Duel Academy! I must travel there at once!"
And with all haste, Eisenstein turned off all of his equipment, packed some smaller and handier devices with him and set off to the docks nearby to take a boat up to the Duel Academy. He knew it would take him a fair amount of time to get there, but any developments would be measured by his hand devices and hopefully whatever came through the portal would be in someone's possession at Duel Academy and in good hands of protection.

It was even later in the night, well past midnight. The dawn wasn't very far off. Many of the guarding Allies were growing exceedingly tired and there weren't enough of them to take turns on sentry duty shifts.
But for all their guarding, their lookouts and their determination to stay awake, the Allies' best efforts were for the moment in vain.
On the beach, shadows trickled into the cool, foamy waves of the incoming ocean and they took a form on the sand, and Nightshroud himself appeared in his dark, foreboding form, accompanied by a thinner figure. The figure was muttered orders by Nightshroud and stumbled off into the night towards the forests of the Duel Academy.
"Another servant to do my bidding with powers strong enough to fuel my Army of Darkness." murmured Nightshroud deeply, "And now to unleash more of my powers."
Nightshroud's powers pulsated across the Duel Academy and although nothing dark happened, what did happen was quite astonishing, and it was part of Nightshroud's plan.
"Once the foolish man comes to fight me, my hold over Jaden Yuki himself will begin to take effect." laughed Nightshroud in a deep toned and wicked laughter.
