Jaden spent the five days prior to the school reunion at his hotel. He shaved and he showered, restyled his hair to its normal fashion and dressed in his Slifer jacket as always, which was thoroughly washed and dried by the staff of the hotel, much to their distaste, as Jaden had hardly cleaned it on his adventures.

Professor Banner also looked forward to going to the reunion as he would see his young students from the last year of his life once again, but now grown into splendid, hard working adults who climbed their way to the top as duelists. Yubel was more reluctant to go, as she still to this day, did not particularly enjoy Jaden's friendships with the others, still wishing to have her friend to herself. Jaden, however reassured her that he would never forget her that night.

Jaden was now taking a train ride to Domino City. He only had to stop at two stations before arriving. He departed the train and entered the City. It was sunset time and Jaden felt hungry and promised his mother he would drop in to visit her prior to the reunion.

After eating a hearty dinner, doing his best not to spill spaghetti on his cleaned outfit, Jaden discussed his times away with his mother.

"Be happy, sweetie." smiled his mother, "And have a lovely time!"

"I will, Mum!" replied Jaden cheerily.

After that he took his leave and went off to the reunion, but as he looked at the clock in the Town Square, he realised he had spoken with his mother for too long. He was two hours late!

Jaden raced as fast as he could to his destination. "Like old times!" he thought to himself, thinking of how he never needed to be on time whilst on his travels.

He arrived at a common a little out of the City where it had been reserved for a marquee to be placed to celebrate the reunion.

As Jaden reached the marquee, he saw tow familiar faces departing from the area. One was Aster Phoenix, the controller of the Destiny Heroes and the extraordinary Pro Duelist. Another was a closer ally to Jaden, Chazz Princeton.

"Hey, Aster! Chazz!" called Jaden.

He rushed over to them and had caught their attention.

"Wondered if you would show up, Jaden Yuki." said Aster as Jaden approached, panting wearily from his dash.

"If it ain't the old Slifer Slacker!" teased Chazz.

"Nice to see you guys too!" breathed Jaden hoarsely.

"Yeah, but not for long." said Aster.

"We need to go. We have Pro careers to take care of." added Chazz.

"Oh, okay." said Jaden. "Congrats on that, Chazz!"

"Whatever, Jaden." smirked Chazz.

And he strolled off to catch the first train out of the City.

"He and I are negotiating a rematch." said Aster.

"You mean you've never duelled in the Pro League yet?" asked Jaden, surprised.

"Not once." said Aster, then a competitive smirk that Jaden knew too well appeared on his face, "But don't worry, Jaden. I'll defeat him yet."

Jaden smiled. "I hope I'll be able to see that."

Aster nodded and quietly walked away, following Chazz to the railway station in the City.

Jaden smiled after his friends, a little saddened that he couldn't spend more time with them, but just the looks on their faces showed that they seemed quite content with their lives in the past five years.
