Chazz Princeton was the True Ojama King of the Pro League. He was the only duelist known to have mastered all of the Ojamas' strategies, when most duelists discarded them as worthless cards. He had used their strategies masterfully in the Leagues and along with his other power based cards, successfully rose his way to the top ranked duelists of any Pro League. To simplify, Chazz was at the top of his game and career.
At times, he felt he still had a way to go to contest Aster Phoenix and even to some extent, the Truesdale brothers, even though he constantly believed Syrus to be a useless amateur, back in the days of Duel Academy, but he made sure to congratulate Syrus' success, with the smaller Pro Duelist mutually praising Chazz.
Today, Chazz was completing yet another Pro League duel. His opponent had on his field a Baby Dragon, stuck in Attack mode, after his direct attack attempt failed.
Chazz had Infernal Incinerator in play and with its effect, held 3000 Attack points.
"Now, I have nullified your attacks with my Ojamas who paid the price!" shouted Chazz, "I shall now avenge them with this blazing assault! Infernal Incinerator, destroy that dragon!"
Infernal Incinerator wiped out the Baby Dragon as well as the opponent's remaining 1800 Life points. Chazz won.
"Let's hear it for Chazz Princeton, our on-going champion!" shouted the commentator.
Many fans in Ojama and Chazz T-shirts were shouting "Chazz It Up!" which was the same catchphrase, back from Duel Academy that Chazz still loved to hear even now. Waving to his many admirers, Chazz departed from the duel stadium and went to his dressing room.
As he rested and drank a very posh coffee, he looked in his mirror to see if his outfit was still on just the right way, but he saw something in the mirror from the corner of his eye. It was a dark figure that looked inhuman...and very familiar.
Chazz blinked and confronted the spot in the mirror that he thought he had seen the figure from, but the dark vision had vanished.
"Must have been a trick of the light." shrugged Chazz.
But little did he know just how far from a trick of the light it was and as Chazz turned his back to prepare for yet another duel, the vision reformed in the mirror for a moment, then vanished once more.
***********
Jaden and Syrus were resting together at Syrus' house. They continued to tell their life stories, and Syrus showed strong jealousy that not only did Jaden duel the great Yugi Muto, but also duelled alongside him.
"Why couldn't it of been me?" he moaned.
Jaden was highly amused.
"Maybe you'll get a chance one day, Sy!" he said, though he had doubts personally.
Syrus appreciated the kind words and felt encouragement.
They later watched Chazz's duels live on television. Jaden noticed vast improvements on Chazz's strategies that revolved around his power based monsters, and most particularly, his Ojama monsters, whose spirits looked as chirpy as ever, as Jaden and Chazz alone could see them, even on the television screen.
"Chazz is amazing. Wish I could have had a rematch with him at the reunion party!" sighed Jaden.
"Bet you'd win, Jaden." replied Syrus supportively.
"Thanks, Sy." laughed Jaden.
Jaden didn't realise that he'd have the opportunity to have a rematch with Chazz quite soon enough.
