Jaden was standing on the quayside. He was deep in thought, and still holding on to Jesse's Darkness card.
"I will set you free, Jesse," he murmured, "and then we will destroy Nightshroud once and for all."
What Jaden was still unaware of was that Duel Academy had been taken over by Nightshroud and the World of Darkness' influence.
He was actually pondering on contacting Alexis, and let her know of the events of the Pro League tournament, as well as ask how things were going at the Academy, when he heard some voices coming from the sea, and they were familiar and frightened.
"HELP!" cried one high pitched voice.
"WE'VE BEEN CARRIED BY THE WINDS FOR TOO LONG!"
"MY CARD NEARLY GOT RIPPED BY A BRANCH OFF THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS!"
Jaden looked up to see floating in the wind, clinging to their cards for dear life, were the fully fleshed spirits of Chazz's Ojama Brothers.
"Yubel, save them!" said Jaden.
Yubel, happy to oblige her friend and descendant of her soulmate, flew out of her card, and retrieved the Ojama Brothers and their cards.
She flew them back down to the ground.
"Here, not that they're much use," she said crudely.
"Take that back!" snapped Ojama Yellow.
Yubel glared.
"O, thank you for saving us, O Winged One!" worshipped Yellow hastily, Black and Green following suit.
Yubel smirked and vanished into her card.
"What happened to you guys?" asked Jaden. "Chazz said he cast you away!"
"He did!" sobbed Yellow.
"Literally!" moaned Black.
"I feel airsick and seasick and travel sick!" gulped Green.
All three brothers bawled their eyes out, much to Jaden's annoyance.
"Well, now you're back, and I could use your help," he said.
"What?" said all three brothers in unison.
"Chazz didn't cast you aside of his entire free will, I'm sure of it," explained Jaden, "Nightshroud has come back and he's using Chazz as a pawn to restore the World of Darkness to this world!"
"NOOOO!" cried the Ojamas.
"But I have to duel Chazz in the Pro League Final tomorrow. Maybe if we work together, we can bring Chazz back to his old self and defeat Nightshroud!"
The Ojamas considered, and finally saluted to Jaden.
"We're reporting for duty!" they declared.
Jaden nodded, then Winged Kuriboh appeared, alongside Jesse's spirit friend, Ruby Carbuncle.
"You escaped the Darkness card?" asked Jaden.
Ruby nuzzled his cheek, looking distraught at her master and fellow spirits' capture.
"We'll get Jesse and the other Crystal Beasts back, Ruby, don't worry," assured Jaden.
We have to...we need Jesse to win the fight against Nightshroud, he thought.
"I need all of your help in this battle," he said to Yubel, Neos, Ruby, Winged Kuriboh, Sir Freed and the Ojama Brothers.
