Jaden had had quite a traumatic episode recently and was now more determined to defeat Nightshroud, save the souls of Crowler and Banner, as well as cleanse his own and then find some sort of peace for himself.

A week had passed since the defeat of Banner and no-one has noticed anything amiss since the mysterious arrival and departure of the unknown person in the woods. The guard of Duel Academy was still in force in spite of the fact that nothing new has arisen, but Banner's downfall as well as Jaden's temporary corruption and the living Duel Monster spirits only heightened the guard's vigilance. Atticus and Alexis continuously reminded the complaining Jasmine and Mindy of the events that had occurred, to keep them working as guards. However, their disdain for guarding the Abandoned Dorm was understandable, so Alexis occasionally shared the task with them.

Yubel had still not returned, which aroused concern for Jaden. He and the Supreme King, still inside him were worried that she had not survived her travels through the Dimensions, only to be supported by Jesse and Syrus, who knew better than anyone that someone like Yubel was perfectly capable of travelling in the Dimensions, due to their past experiences with her.

Jaden was pacing through the whole grounds with vigilance and strong suspicions of anything and everything. This worried his friends, as his fear of turning dark again was once again dampening his love for duelling.

Alexis was assuming authority over the Academy alongside Jaden as Sheppard had still not returned; he had sent a telegram explaining that he and Pegasus were still discussing matters of the Darkness threat as well as leading search parties for the missing Superintendent Kagemaru.

The second week began and Jaden was watching out for dangers in the woods. Damon was protecting it still and even Wheeler seemed less bananas upon the captures of Crowler and Banner. He was about to go up to the Academy roof to check up on Belowski when he heard a buzzing noise. It was coming from above.

Jaden ran out from under the trees and looked up to the sky. In the distance, not far from the island was a helicopter. He couldn't make out whose it could be, but his suspicious nature overrode his common sense. Jaden rushed up to the main grounds and he saw Syrus and Hassleberry there, also waiting with concern and caution on their faces, priming their Duel Disks.

"Be ready for attack upon that chopper's landing!" shouted Jaden, with an authoritative air, similar to an army general.

Syrus and Hassleberry watched on with Jaden, all three waiting for the landing of the helicopter. As it circled to land at the harbour area's helicopter landing base, the three made a beeline to it.

Soon they arrived just in time for the pilot to switch off the engine. Then the door opened. To Jaden and Syrus' utter surprise, the man who stepped down from the helicopter was not in any way a threat. He had a suit on, held a briefcase of professional appeal, and was as large in build as he was when he had last seen Jaden. It was Chumley Huffington.

"Chumley!" called Jaden.

To Syrus and Hassleberry's delight, Chumley's arrival had re-sparked the confident and cheerful nature of Jaden. His domineering, paranoid and distrusting attitude had subsided at once. He had also looked to the helicopter and this time could make out the logo of Industrial Illusions painted on its side.

Jaden rushed up and embraced Chumley like a long lost brother. "How have things been, Chumley?"

Chumley smiled hugging Jaden a little too tightly, and replied, "Just great, Jaden. Still a success with my card designs! Hope your Skyscraper 2 is still useful."

Jaden nodded in agreement, and then the idea jumped into his head.

"Uh, Chumley, did you create and send me this card?" He pulled out from his deck and presented to Chumley the Miracle Dimension Fusion card.
