Samidha was a very good employee. She did everything that an assistant was supposed to do, from scheduling his day to summarising people's life in files, she did everything, except bringing him coffee.
One more thing she did was give Sahaj glares every time she happened to look at him. Be it the two hours of meetings or the small encounter they used to have in the kitchen in the morning.
She looked at him like she wanted to kill him.She almost avoided talking to him. And whenever she did, she made sure to insult and disrespect him somehow. But Sahaj could never say anything. She never gave him the chance to, and honestly, he was scared to. From what he had observed in the past two weeks, it felt as if whoever dared enough to make her angry probably just got shot in the head.
But there was one more thing she did, she waited for him in the office when he had to work more, even when she could force him to head back home. She covered him with a blanket when he slept on his desk and waited till morning.
But nothing mattered at that moment.
"But at least listen to him for onc-"
"DO NOT INTERRUPT ME WHILE I AM TALKING TO MY EMPLOYEE!"
Sahaj shouted at her, banging his hands on the desk and standing up. His eyes were red and the veins in his forehead popped out.
Glaring at her he gritted his teeth.
"Stay out of it."
He growled and looked at the guy who wasn't able to fulfill his commitment for the third time in the last four months.Looking him up and down he asked
"Where are the designs Rishabh?"
"I c-c-couldn-t-"
"When I asked if you could do them in two weeks what did you say?"
Sahaj asked walking towards Rishabh and standing just in front of him.Rishabh was taller, but in front of Sahaj he looked like a 5 year old kid who had broken his father's expensive car glass.
He looked petrified.
"What.did.you.say?"
"T-that I w-will d-do i-it."
"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU DO IT?!"
He shouted and stepped forward causing Rishabh to take a step back, flinching."You don't know how important this project is for our company?! Did I make you the lead designer of this project for this?! I want to kill you!"
He yelled pulling his hands back halfway from midair, preventing himself from choking him.
"You know how big this project is!"
"Sir I-"
"Go back to your cabin Rishabh."
Samidha interrupted, when Sahaj looked like he would really kill Rishabh at any moment."I said stay out of this!"
"And I asked you to leave Rishabh!"
She yelled at Rishabh. Nodding hesitantly he left the room with air thicker than oil.She turned towards Sahaj to find him glaring at her.
"I-"
"Stay away from me."
He gritted, stepping back to leave."But-"
"I SAID STAY AWAY FROM ME!"l
Sahaj didn't listen to her. He immediately left home without her. And when she reached home, he wasn't there either.
