Sahaj woke up when the light became way too harsh. He tried to move but his hand was numb.

Squinting his eyes he saw Samidha sleeping with her head on his hand and half of her body over his.

He sighed, flopping his head and hitting it on the hard tiled floor.

He didn't even remember when they ended up sleeping on the terrace itself. After she has told him that Shardul was her brother, they ended up talking a lot.

Turns out Shardul wasn't her real brother or even a cousin. He was just a man she met who ended up becoming so important, a brother to her.

"Ouch!"

His little squeak was enough to send her rolling away from him and get on her knees with a big knife she pulled out from somewhere.

Her eyes still weren't clear. Heck, she couldn't even see anything. Rubbing her eyes she tried to focus.

Sahaj was very amused by her little action.

"You are not on duty here."
He spoke and finally her eyes could see in the sunlight.

She nodded and dropped the knife on the ground.

Sahaj stood up and went towards her. Looking back he didn't even remember when he closed the openable railing on the terrace. But thank god it was closed. Otherwise he could've ended up falling directly on the the ground and breaking his bones.

Did Samidha close it?

"Shall we go down?"
He asked and she nodded, keeping her hand in his outstreched one and standing up.

It amazed him how light she was.

Probably 50 kgs only. How does she even fight with people. It's impossible for her to take down anybody. She's just way too small.

"Stop looking at me like that."
She said rubbing her eyes in a hoarse voice.

"Like what?"

He asked and she stopped walking.
He didn't even realise they were holding hands.

It would've looked weird. They were holding hands and he was looking at her with so much curiosity. Leaving her hand he smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry."

"What is it?"

She asked, and he shook his head.

"Tell me no? I thought we became friends last night."
She muttered like a kid and he laughed.

"It's not like that. How about we freshen up first. I'm really hungry."

She nodded, smiling.

"Seems like a good idea to me."

Sahaj smiled at her and left.

She slowly walked down to her room. Smiling to herself. She hasn't felt like this in years. Sahaj's smile was making her heart flutter.

H

e wasn't the same boy. He had changed. She had changed. Everything changed. But his smile still made her feel special. Like she was a princess.
