She sighed and looked at her wrist watch again.
It was 11:00 and Sahaj was still sitting in his cabin working on something.

Finally standing up she knocked on the door to his cabin, only to hear a

"Not now. I'm not done yet."

Opening the door she peeped in.

"It's 11:00 Mr. Kashyap. Whole building is empty. We can't stay here any longer, it's not safe."

Keeping his pen down he looked at her. It was just one day. He'll have someone else from tomorrow. And he had really pissed her off and humiliated her today.

"You can do your work at home right?"
She asked softly and he nodded.
It won't hurt to do as she says.

He didn't know why but from the moment he realised she wasn't happy, everything was seemingly dull. It felt weird.
He didn't even know her and yet even the thought of her being unhappy was making his stomach churn.

And the thought that he was behind her bad mood was making him feel more guilty than it should.

There shouldn't be sadness in eyes as pretty as hers.

"Fine. Give me ten minutes."

And what if she tells his father that he was being mean? He would be so dead.

She nodded and left. He sighed and packed his things. He had so much work left to do. And after that disastrous meeting with Alessio Bianchi, he had to make up with the losses as soon as possible.

Samidha was waiting for him beside his car with the back door open.

As he approached he raised his brows

"You don't want me to sit in the back seat, do you?"

"You fired your driver as soon as you met me. I thought you would want me to be your driver."
She muttered and he scoffed.

"You really think I'm going to give my life in the hands of your driving? I'll drive."

He snarled tossing his bag in the back seat and getting in the driver seat himself.

Shrugging she sat on the passenger seat herself. Silence fell between them. Very comfortable silence. Both were busy in their own thoughts, not minding the other person.

Sahaj looked at her to find her looking at the traffic through the rear view mirror, smiling a little.

On the second thought, maybe she wasn't as bad as he thought right?

He noticed her smile falling as she turned back and forth, looking at something.

"Is something wrong?"

He asked and she gritted her teeth and unbuckled her seat belt.

"Let me drive."

"What? Why?"

"Don't ask questions now Sahaj. Let me drive."

"Bu-"

Sahaj was cut off by the piercing sound of gun shot. The bullet narrowly dogged their car and hit the tyre of another car.

Sahaj lost balance as he tried to look behind him.

Quickly grabbing the steering wheel, Samidha regained the balance.

"Woah! What is happening? Who are they? Did they aim for us? Do they want to kill me?"
He shouted as she pulled out a gun from somewhere.

"YOU HAVE A FUCKING GUN?!"

"Don't panic. Unbuckle your seat belt, take off your shirt, take the third left and jump out of the car. Hide behind the trolleys."

"Wha-"
