"Samidha, did something happen?"
Samidha's sister, Rhea asked her when she noticed Samidha being oddly quiet.

"Naah! What would happen?"
Samidha replied looking up from her phone at her sister.

"Are you sure?"
Rhea asked and Samidha purposely angled her phone so that it would block her face.

"There's a boy in my class, he shouted at me. Nothing else."

"And you didn't beat him properly in return. Is that why you are sad?"
Rhea asked crawling towards her little sister and pulling her up from the bed.

Samidha hugged her sister. Her eyes watered and her hold tightened.

"I-.........He shouted at me in front of the whole class. I just asked him to sit beside me."
She explained, trying hard to keep her voice steady.
Encounters like these never affected Samidha, but today, she couldn't help it.

She was stressed. She wasn't able to concentrate on studies as much as she would've liked. She was not waking up early, the time she used to wake up on. She wasn't able to solve physics or maths questions. Her marks were not increasing. She was not able to see any improvement in herself, and that stressed her and scared the shit out of her.

She was never an average student. She didn't have such a short focus span. She never slept till late. She was not able to understand what was happening to her. Month per month, no improvement. She was tired.

And Sahaj insulting her, was her trigger. She couldn't hold it in anymore.

"I don't know what I did wrong didi. I just asked him to sit beside me. He didn't have to talk to me, and he was sitting with me till yesterday. The-then wh-why?!"
She sobbed hugging her sister tighter.
Rhea quietly listened to her and rubbed her back.

"He is an idiot dear. Don't worry. Just kick him on his bum tomorrow. Hard. He won't ever shout at you again."
Rhea joked and Samidha laughed lightly wiping her tears.

"Now relax. People don't notice and think about us as much as we think they do. Tomorrow noone will even remember what happened today."
Rhea smiled pushing Samidha away from her. Then wiping her tears, Rhea kissed her little sister's forehead.

"Now sleep. There's a new day waiting for you tomorrow. A bright, sunny, and productive day."

Samidha smiled at her sister and went to bed. Her sister following her a few moments later.

Samidha sighed. How much she wanted to reply and ask her sister about that party but that damn Sahaj. She cannot be in the same room as him now, let alone enjoy a party.

She sighed and kept her head down on the bench. How much she wanted to go to that party.

Samidha dozed off thinking about various things sitting alone in a classroom of her coaching centre. And soon she was fast asleep.
