Samidha stood there leaning on the bar table, wondering if she would drink something had she been an adult.
What was a 16 year old doing at the bar with all kinds of alcohol? Well, she asked for water. They only had refrigerated water, so one boy had gone to bring her normal water.
"A lemonade."
It was Neha. Samidha smiled at her, angling herself to face her."You took that quote too seriously right, 'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade'!"
Neha laughed throatily. Samidha never failed to make her laugh.
"Yes, I did and now my favourite drink is lemonade!"
"So...... tell me. How's life going? Any advice for this little girl?"
She asked blinking her eyes too much and trying to act like a child."Little girl? I've heard how you pulled Sahaj away from that fight. And I know that guy very well, it's hard to even lift up his arm!"
Neha retorted and Samidha rolled her eyes, aggressively opening her water bottle."Way to ruin the mood Neha didi. I'm here asking how to be happy with all this study load and you are talking about the guy who can't get happy at anything. Now I understand why Revat bhaiya says you're a mood spoiler!"
"Were you always this dramatic or have you been inspired by someone lately?"
"Oh my lovely lady, how boring this life would be without drama, you only guess."
Samidha leaned towards her, staring deep into her eyes, flirtatious to the next level. Neha chuckled and copied her.
"And oh my lovely little junior, this drama only looks good from far away."
Her tone changed from light to a dark, her eyes shifted from Samidha to blank space and her lips formed a sad smile.
"When it really starts appearing in your life, you realise the importance of peace and happiness. All those things just cause chaos, in your life, mind and soul. And it takes a lot to heal."
Neha smiled sadly and looked at Samidha, who was watching her with a loving sisterly gaze.
"What about you didi? Have you healed?"
And that was what everybody loved and hated about Samidha the most. The way she asked questions directly, in such simple words that it made dodging them near to impossible. And her eyes, she really had some type of magic in her eyes, whoever looked in them, got that feeling of trust that they almost forget to lie and give in to their truth.
"W-what do you mean?"
"What a stupid question I am asking. Look at me. Sorry. Have you started your journey to heal? Are you willing?"
Samidha improvised her question and looked at Neha with a strong gaze. Neha found herself almost going back in the past when she spoke again.
"You know there are many people who would do anything for you to be happy. Nobody heals fully and quickly but what matters is whether we are willing or not, right?"
She asked and Neha felt herself smiling a little.
"You are right. What matters is if we are willing to work on it or not. And yes, I have started my journey. All those bad things were in the past. They were a part of my life and they'll always be, but I won't let that affect me negatively. My past has made me what I am today and I am daring to make sure that I won't ever dislike the person I am!"
And as soon as Neha finished her motivational speech Samidha let out a breath of admiration. This was what she wanted to become like. An optimistic, kind hearted girl who tried to see everything, good or bad just equally easily and be able to choose the good.
