Sahaj didn't run after the female. But he did get out of the washroom, more in rage than ever. He really wanted his punching bag now.
As he stormed, making his way out of the cafe, he remembered that he left his wallet at the table. Fucking amazing.
He took left from the small corridor, where the party room was separated from the actual cafe area.
And as soon as he did that he bumped into someone. Or rather, someone bumped into him.
"I'm so sorry!"
"Watch where you go!"
Both Samidha and Sahaj said at the same time, angling their heads to see each other's faces. And sure the expressions turned hostile.
She stared at him, his eyes were filled with anger, his jaw was set and his knuckles were slightly pink.
Then it struck her.
"I should've known."
She muttered under her breath and tried to move past him.And her trying to go away like that, irked Sahaj.
He took a hold of her forearm tightly and turned her towards him.
"What did you say?"
He asked as she bumped into his chest again.Samidha glared at him. Pushing him away she tried to free her hand from his extra strong grip.
"I said sorry for bumping into you. But now I'm not sorry at all!"
She spat and his grip tightened. He pushed her on the wall of that small corridor, holding both her elbows in his tight grip.
His eyes were red, and his jaw was clenched.
He was angry. And looking at him, fear made it's way in Samidha. An angry big boy had her pinned to the wall. She knew nothing about him and she was new to that big city. She was there to study! Not to get raped and thrown in the lake or just get murdered because she bruised a man's ego.
Her expressions turned fearsome and she tried freeing herself.
"I'm sorry. Please leave me. Please. I won't do that again. Please. Leave me."
Sahaj saw terror in her eyes as she struggled. And when she looked up at him, realizing that her struggles were of no use as he was way too strong, Sahaj saw her eyes shining.
She was seconds away from crying. His reflection in her teary eyes was not what he would like to see. What was he doing blinded in rage? Hurting people? Hurting her? What was he gaining from it?
And as soon as he realized what he was doing and the amount of fear he had sown in Samidha's heart he scurried away from her.
He was a stupid boy, but he was not a monster who would like to make any girl feel unsafe near him. Especially her. She was not the one to start crying over petty things.
"I-I-I am sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I didn't mean to hurt you."
He said looking at the fake grass carpet. He was suddenly sweating."Thankyou."
She whispered, grateful he left her.He looked up at her to find her wiping her unshed tears and getting herself together.
What a mess he had made. She was all confident and happy earlier. He made her cry.
"I-I should leave."
She whispered again, averting her eyes from his. Forgetting the way she had to go in all the drama, she entered the hall full of people.Shubham was looking around for Sahaj when he saw her. She was looking so out of place.
"Samidha! Here! Come."
Shubham waved at her and watched her eyes snap towards him. Her expressions didn't change, but she did slowly walk towards him.
