Hi friends!
The second book in this series is ending with this chapter, but don't worry! I'm going to be starting book three ❤️❤️
I'm taking a small break for the rest of the summer so I can regroup. I've had no time to write for two months, and I've had to leave you all on horrible cliffhangers because of that.
I'm going to post the start of book 3 in September, although when in September I'm not sure. I'm going to keep it all in this book, because I like having it all in one spot for now.
Thank you for sticking with me as I tested out a new genre for myself. It was stressful, but it was fun to step out of my comfort zone and try something I didn't know how to do.
I'm so thankful to have you guys as my readers. A lot of authors get torn up here on Wattpad; but you have all shown me grace, and are kind in your comments.
Thank you, I love you all, and I'll be back in September!
Xoxo

Julianne's POV
"You nervous?" I ask as we walk to Holden's favorite spot, never once looking over our shoulder in fear.
Holden chuckles as he walks a little slower than normal, his side still sore yet healing well.
"I'm so damn nervous. I can't believe Andrea Canning actually took this story. Am I cheating on Sylvie if I shake her hand?" He grins.
Tate cackles in a carefree way as he picks up a shell along the sandy beach. "I'm pretty sure she's a hugger. Just watch where you put those hands."
Holden smirks his crooked smile as he looks back over at me. "How's your knee?" He asks softly as he brushes hair off of my shoulder.
"It's better"
We found out last week that I had torn my meniscus when I fell a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully I don't need surgery, but I've been going to physical therapy for it.
"Good. Is the walk too much? I can carry you on my back if you need."
"With your injury?" I ask as I raise my eyebrows.
He shrugs. "I will if I have to."
"I'm ok. We're almost there," I say as I take his hand in mine, and he squeezes it firmly as he bends to kiss my head.
"Wanna know what I realized?" Holden asks as we reach his spot and he carefully sits on the sandy beach, hiding his grimace of pain as he does. Tate helps me sit, and then sits on the other side of me as we all three stick our feet in the water.
"What's that?" Tate asks
"We don't laugh a lot....We don't have a lot of funny moments....I was trying to think of some when visiting hours were over that first night...We don't goof off too much."
Tate shrugs as he wiggles his toes in the water. "We laugh."
"I mean, yeah, we do...But...We aren't as carefree as we should be. Everything is always so damn serious all of the time. What do I need to do to fix it?"
It's quiet for a long moment as we all look out at the ocean and let the cool breeze kiss our sweaty skin.
"I think that it'll come naturally, eventually. It's been a really hard year for all of us. Eventually, it will happen," I finally say as I rest my head on Holden's shoulder, and he kisses my hair.
