The team shielded themselves from the energy pulse, which dissipated as quickly as it appeared. When they opened their eyes, Dana's body was gone, leaving behind only a faint trace of her presence.

Oscar collapsed to the ground, overcome with grief and guilt. "What have I done?" he sobbed.

Egon and Peter rushed to his side, trying to comfort him. "Oscar, it wasn't your fault," Egon said, appeasing his fellow ally, "She was already gone, possessed by that entity. You did what you had to do to save the world."

Wolverine and Storm approached, their faces somber. "We'll help you through this, kid," Wolverine comforted a grieving Oscar. "We'll make sure you're okay."

"I understand it's difficult to overcome this pain, child. Even though we couldn't save her, your mother's soul encouraged you to save everyone." Storm explained.

Ray, Deborah, and Winston joined the group, their eyes reflective. "We've lost friends before," Ray replied. "But we always find a way to move forward, together."

The team stood in silence for a moment, honoring the memory of Dana Barrett and the sacrifice she made to save the world from Zuul Phoenix. In this grim moment, the entire Ghostbusters crew were at a loss for words witnessing a tragedy as this one.

Egon contacts his mentor with a grief stricken expression, "doc, Dana's gone."

"Oh no! This is the most terrible news I have ever heard." Dr. Spengler frowned.

"It sure was, doc, and we failed to salvage our friend from the Phoenix Force." Egon sighed.

"Egon, my boy, I'm so sorry to hear that," Dr. Spengler's voice was filled with sorrow. "Dana was a remarkable person, and her bravery will never be forgotten. But we must not dwell on our sorrow. We must continue the fight against the forces of darkness. The world needs us now more than ever."

Egon nodded, even though his mentor couldn't see him. "I know, Doc. We'll keep fighting. But it's hard to lose someone like Dana. She was more than just a colleague. She was a friend."

Dr. Spengler's voice was filled with understanding. "I know, Egon. I, too, have lost friends in this fight. But we must not let our grief consume us. We must use it to fuel our determination to protect the world from the forces of evil. Dana would want us to keep fighting, to keep pushing forward."

Egon took a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. "You're right, Doc. We'll keep fighting. For Dana, and for the world."

The young ghostbusters are mourning the loss of Dana Barrett. Even Louis Tully and the original ghostbusters saw it happen. The news of Dana's demise broke Dr. Venkman's heart for the first time.

The young Ghostbusters, Peter, Ray, Egon, Deborah, and Winston stood in silence, their faces etched with grief. They had lost a friend, a colleague, and a fellow warrior in the battle against the paranormal. Dana Barrett, the Gatekeeper, was gone.

Louis Tully, their friend and ally, approached them, his eyes red-rimmed. "I can't believe she's gone," he said, his voice cracking. "Dana was a special person, a true hero."

The original Ghostbusters, Venkman, Stantz, and Zeddemore stood nearby, their faces somber over the lovely lady's untimely demise. They place white roses to the spot where her sacrifice occurred. Dr. Spengler approached his fellow Ghostbusters, knowing what had happened. They had mentored the young team and had grown close to Dana. They knew her bravery and her sacrifice as a symbol of the Ghostbusters' heart and respect. Dr. Venkman learned his girlfriend-turned-wife's obituary sacrifice when Dr. Spengler spoke to him on the phone. Janine grieved Dana's demise as Dr. Zeddemore paid his respects for her. Many lugubrious responses that the mourners brought despondence to Oscar Barrett.
