Meanwhile, Deborah and Winston head back to base after interviewing students and staff about Macey's disappearance. Though there is a lack of evidence that supports their search for the missing girl, her instructors and close friends shared details on her whereabouts, and the case has grown cold.

Dr. Spengler descends from the third floor after his conversation with Egon Spengler III's team to find the front door open, bringing the stakes at a higher rate.

Deborah and Winston arrived at the Ghostbusters' base, exhausted but determined to solve the mystery. They had spent hours interviewing students and staff at Columbia University, trying to piece together the events surrounding Macey's disappearance. Slimer hovered back to Dr. Spengler with the evidence the duo and he disclosed.

As they entered the base, Deborah sighed, "I don't know, Winston. We've got nothing concrete. Just a bunch of rumors and speculation."

Winston nodded, "I know, but we have to keep trying. We can't give up on Macey."

"People claim her disappearance may be nothing but a hoax, but maybe we can rectify their responses by revealing each clue has given." Deborah stated.

"Yes, we can see why this case blows our minds agape." Dr. Spengler assumed.

"Doc, it comes to our attention the cult is using her as a source to reawaken the Dark Phoenix." he explained in a serious tone, broadcasting from his Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

"What do you make of this, young one?" Dr. Spengler inquired.

"There is another person involved in our case." Egon reported.

"Who, exactly?" he demanded.

"Some stranger claiming to be a mysterious relative." Egon stated, rubbing his chin, "I'll be here with the others in 2 minutes."

"Alright, see you later." Dr. Spengler responded, ending his phone conversation with Egon Spengler III.

Impossible. A mysterious figure going after the child? This is starting to become crucial. Dr. Spengler wondered.

Deborah began to sort through the notes and recordings they had gathered, looking for any leads. Winston headed to the laboratory to analyze the evidence they had collected.

Just then, Egon, Ray, and Jason arrived, looking like they had just faced a battle. Egon announced, "We found clues at Bloodgood Manor. It seems Macey's parents are connected to the Inner Circle cult."

Deborah's eyes widened, "That's what we were starting to suspect. We need to get all the evidence together and figure out what's going on."

Winston added, "And we need to be prepared for a fight. The Inner Circle won't give up without a struggle."

"During our encounter with the Bloodgood cultists, we have witnessed a blast of red light." Egon spoke.

"Is it coming from his hands or his eyes?" Dr. Spengler questioned.

"His eyes. Something about this figure has me in suspicion that he's going after Macey as well." Egon advised the others.

"What does it look like?" Deborah asked him.

"The figure is clad with a jet black fedora that matches his trench coat. His eyes emanate a red glow, and he has a white rose pinned on the left side of his chest. He has a keen sense on the case more than we have." Egon explained.

"Sweet marshmallows! This guy may have a menacing presence, but his heroic efforts can be used to help us solve the case." Deborah gasped.

"I daresay, the description of the figure you have shared has me intrigued. I must know more about him." Dr. Spengler spoke, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
