At the firehouse, Slimer watches a horror movie in the basement in the dark. He feels visibly shaken seeing a wild monster plant possessing a human being while munching on some popcorn. His heart begins to race with trepidation with his eyes fixed on the television screen. Sweats begin to break around him. He glances at the bucket to find it empty after consuming all of the popcorn. A carnivorous monster plant scares the citizens, and even Slimer is screaming as he hides under the couch. A trembling Slimer eyeballs at the door. A shadow figure depicting a carnivorous plant opens the door, scaring Slimer. When it switched on the light, it was revealed to be Dr. Egon Spengler, who is entering the room to check on the green spud. Slimer covered his head with an elaborate turquoise memory foam pillow, quivering in fear.

"What's the problem?" Dr. Spengler queried.

"Egon. It's just you." Slimer sighed, relieved to see his master entering the room.

Dr. Spengler surveys the television options and discovers the name of the movie displayed on screen. Slimer leans forward with his eyes still fixed on his master.

"Are you still watching that same movie?" Dr. Spengler questioned, raising his eyebrow in bewilderment, "You know, that movie gives you nightmares, Slimer."

Slimer, still shaken, stuttered, "I-I was just, uh, researching, Egon! Yeah, that's it! Researching!"

Dr. Spengler chuckled and said, "Well, I think you've done enough research for tonight, Slimer. Why don't you come upstairs and join us? We're heading out to Central Park to investigate a real-life plant possession case."

Slimer's eyes widened in terror. "C-Central Park?! Oh no, no, no! Anything but that!"

Dr. Spengler smiled and said, "Don't worry, Slimer. We'll be there to protect you. And who knows, maybe you can even help us with your... unique skills."

Slimer hesitated for a moment, then nodded and followed Dr. Spengler upstairs, still looking a bit shaken but also curious about the adventure ahead.

"Besides, the X-Men are going to be there, too. After all, I mentioned to the young ghostbusters that these plants not only possess people but animals and mutants alike. I didn't mention other ghosts, given the fact you are one." Dr. Spengler responded.

Slimer's eyes lit up at the mention of the X-Men. "Ooh, X-Men! Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm...! Oh, yeah! I'm coming with you, Egon! I mean, I'm not afraid of no possessed plants!"

Slimer hums to the X-Men's theme and leaps out of the sofa without leaving any of his ectoplasmic residue  festering the furniture.

Dr. Spengler smiled, knowing that Slimer's enthusiasm would be useful in the upcoming battle. "Very well, Slimer. Let's get moving. We have a long night ahead of us."

Slimer continues humming to the X-Men theme and streams downstairs to the first floor, and Dr. Spengler chuckles and descends from the third floor to join the young ghostbusters.

"Most of the park's vegetation was affected by Thelma's black magic as it appears to be on the map." Ray pointed out to the virtual map of Central Park Zoo.

"I guess this jungle is not all fun and games." Peter sighed in disbelief.

As they boarded the Ecto-1, Slimer took a seat next to Winston, who was driving. "Hey, Winston, can we blast some music? I need something to get me pumped up for this ghostly plant battle!"

Winston grinned and turned on the radio, playing a lively tune that got Slimer dancing in his seat. The Ecto-1 sped off towards Central Park, ready to face whatever supernatural forces awaited them. The team arrived at the location where its vegetation was impacted by a paranormal disturbance regardless of the level of energy. This bizarre activity sends a chill down Dr. Spengler's spine, but this didn't prevent him from garnering factual evidence of the haunting.
