The main team approaches deeper into the western portion of the garden with caution, realizing the challenges they are confronting will lead them to major trouble. Egon Spengler III points his ghost sniffer to detect for any foul stenches within the area. Deborah inspects the acres of the park for any sightings of the paranormal as she calculates the overall frequencies using her PC-8 calculator feature from her PKE meter app. Ray bends on one knee to survey a trail of footprints leading to the only location in the area not affected by Shanbahac's underground, the tree house. Based on the information he received from Cyclops, this flamboyant arboreal headquarters of the X-Men serves as a residence until one person, who worked as a Hydra agent, raided the base and murdered Cyclops, setting almost the entire base on fire. Nevertheless, he could not have intervened with the impostor nor hamper his mission.
"I think we need to find a way that can take us to their domain without getting caught by those mind-controling plants there." Egon responded.
"We can see why our hostile plants have begun their undergrowth once again." Deborah stated.
"Yeah, and the corpse flowers do have a putrid stench to it." Peter complained.
"I'm catching a significant reading of this place. This is something big here, guys." Ray informed the team.
Winston nodded in agreement. "We need to move stealthily and find a way to bypass those plants. We can't let them get the best of us."
"He's right. We can't allow both Thelma nor Shanbahac to take hold of the park's aesthete, especially when we are at the focal point of its vegetation. By passing through the mind controlling plants, we should be able to thwart their plans before they spread quickly." Deborah informed the others.
Egon spies on a horde of sprout spitters, at least 10 of them guarding the vegetation. His eyes dart back to his teammates, knowing what odds they expect to even.
"Shoot, there are more evil plants in our disposal." Egon muttered, and the others understand the aspect.
"How can we take them down?" Peter asked him in a whisper.
"If we're discreet, then we will proceed to the treehouse without causing any trouble." Winston informed the others, leading the way.
"One of us will have to be the bait." Egon pointed out.
"We'll be drawing straws. Whoever has the shortest straw gets to be the bait." Deborah advised, and the others and she draw out their straws.
"Oh, no!" Peter frowned, knowing he drew the shortest straw.
"I guess you're the bait, Pete." Winston chortled.
"Why do I get into these crazy situations?" Peter questioned the others.
"Because, Venkman, we need someone humorous and agile to drive the plants out of our path and back into their flower beds." Egon answered.
"Haha, very funny!" Peter scoffed.
Ray extracts a bottle of plant cologne and sprinkles it around Peter.
"There, with the plant cologne on you, we may be able to take them down quickly without any hesitation." Ray stated.
"It smells like dirty diapers." Peter commented.
"You'll get used to the odor, Peter." Deborah responded, "After all, what makes a girl like me to have someone with the perfect smell of plant cologne to do a Ghostbuster's job?"
Peter's mood softens after hearing Deborah speak those flirtatious words.
"And to think roses really smell like poop." Winston responded, with his eyes flatly narrowed.
