Ghost-X, a young Ghostbusters and x-men crossover

Chapter 6

The young ghostbusters grab their equipment and head to Ecto-1 to commence their next mission. Egon switches on the screen located atop the levers, tending to reach contact with his mentor. Winston sits in the driver's seat while Ray sits in the passenger seat.

"Dr. Spengler, we're in. Can you hear me?" Egon called his mentor.

"Loud and clear, Egon." Dr. Spengler responded, broadcasting from the firehouse.

"We are en route to the New York History Museum to check out the Ancient Egyptian exhibit." Egon responded through intercom.

"This is where the fourth node is focused as Charles mentioned, much to the surprise of the curators." Dr. Spengler stated.

"The New York History Museum? Isn't that the same place where we reunited after 2-3 years inactive?" Peter asked.

"The same place where we encountered the Grumpy Custodian." Ray added, "the ghost's unruly behavior nearly shattered Egon's spine after his failed attempt." Ray pointed out.

"Yeah, it must have hurt when Egon attempts to thrash with it." Deborah added.

"Just be glad I'm alive." Egon sighed.

"Then, where do we begin?" Winston asked him.

"You may want to start at exhibit C, downstairs, on your right." Dr. Spengler answered his question.

"Thanks for the heads up, doc." Egon responded.

"You're welcome." Dr. Spengler nodded.

Exhibit C? That's where our level of activity occurs. Egon pondered.

Egon ends his transmission with Dr. Spengler; as they arrive at the museum where strenuous paranormal activity, Deborah receives a PKE reading from her PKE meter app, knowing the aspect of the exhibit have displayed its eerie occurrence.

Ray exits from the passenger seat of the vehicle and extracts his PKE boomerang from his proton pack. He launches it into the air to commence the complete analysis of the building. The first paranormal anomaly indicates an Ancient Egyptian cuneiform emitting a verdant aura, epitomizing a sign of horrid disturbances. Uniquely, it brings more questions and concerns on the impact upon both humanity and mutantkind. The second reading indicates a hidden sample revealing to be a gem that possesses runic power. The second paranormal anomaly reveals flames changing color, and the final reading reveals a trail of snake venom on the sand next to the tombs. For the most part, it ushers in a never-ending loop of supernatural disturbances. Ray retrieves his PKE boomerang and places it back to his proton pack.

"We have found ourselves severe paranormal activity inside the exhibit coupled with impending chaos." Ray informed.

"This is inevitable. I thought no one would survive obstacles from out of this world." Winston stated.

The young ghostbusters approach the lobby alongside two of the x-men and Kylie Griffin. Egon inspects the majority of the first floor for any signs of ghostly activity. Wolverine senses a presence approaching nearby as he extracts his adamantine claws.

"This museum exhibit spells ancient Egyptian turmoil in it." Peter responded.

Deborah points her iPhone to fix a scan using her PKE meter app and discovers handprints smudging Egyptian hieroglyphics. Winston captures the footage from his camcorder of mysterious ancient Egyptian rituals.

With the camaraderie between the Ghostbusters and the X-Men becoming stronger, the group, along with Cyclops, Rogue, and a starstruck Nightcrawler, agreed with the terms.

"Whoa, check this out!" Deborah exclaimed, her eyes fixed on the scan results on her iPhone. "These handprints are definitely not part of the exhibit. And look at the way they're smudging the hieroglyphics... it's like someone or something is trying to erase the symbols!"
