Dr. Spengler ends his private phone conversation with Professor X and jumps into the control room to reveal the next location of the node. In addition, he begins to disclose information about it on his computer. Slimer, who heard the entire conversation from outside of his office, takes remorse for the young ghostbusters after their second encounter with the Devourer despite breaking the golden rule of Ghostbusting as a result. Who knows what the consequences will be like? He roams toward a concerned and disappointed Dr. Spengler, whose eyes are fixated on the main computer, for Slimer tries to defend them with his own words of encouragement.
"Egon, you shouldn't have been hard on the Young Ghostbusters like that. They were doing their jobs." Slimer beseeched with his shoulders down.
"I'm not, Slimer. It's just that they have broken the first rule of Ghostbusting." Dr. Spengler replied with a stern expression on his face, rubbing his temples.
"But they saved the city." Slimer cried with an empathetic expression on his face, slumping his shoulders showing a sight of pity to him, "why punishing them?"
"Slimer, it's not about punishing them," Dr. Spengler explained, his expression softening as his business chair turns toward the green spud. "It's about teaching them the importance of following protocol. If they had followed the rules, they wouldn't have put themselves and others in danger."
"But they did save the city," Slimer repeated, his voice laced with confusion. "Why are you still mad?"
Dr. Spengler sighed, rubbing his temples. "I'm not mad, Slimer. I'm just concerned. They have a lot to learn, and I don't want them to get hurt or worse."
Slimer nodded, understanding. "Okay, Egon. I get it."
Dr. Spengler smiled, placing a hand on Slimer's tiny shoulder. "Good, Slimer. Now, let's focus on the next node location. We have a lot of work to do."
Slimer grinned, his eyes lighting up. "Ooh, yeah! Let's do it!"
Together, Dr. Spengler and Slimer began to analyze the data to uncover more secrets from the paranormal, ready to face the next challenge in their quest to stop Luther and save the world. Will they unravel the secrets leading to the outcome?
Meanwhile, the young ghostbusters are in the basement of the firehouse after being rebuked by Dr. Spengler for not following the Ghostbusters protocol.
"This stinks! We are supposed to be congratulating ourselves; instead, we got punished for breaking the important rule!" Peter Venkman III complained.
"Venkman, Dr. Spengler encouraged us to follow the Ghostbusters protocol." Egon Spengler III berated.
"Screw his rules!" Peter denied, raising his arms akimbo.
"You know, Peter! You may be the comic relief of the group, but your attitude is no laughing matter!" Deborah rebuked, with her left hand resting on her hip.
"Whatever, Debs!" Peter scowled, disregarding the notion, which made Deborah stomping toward him and slapping him in the face. The other young ghostbusters react to Peter being slapped, but they set it aside.
"Don't whatever Debs, me!" Deborah scolded him.
"We are rectifying the mistakes we made earlier, so heed his orders, Peter. Otherwise, you will be demoted from your position in the Ghostbusters business." Ray chastened.
"Exactly, man." Winston agreed, crossing his arms together.
"Venkman, if I were you, I shouldn't have been on administrative leave over crossing the streams without asking for protocol. Besides, Dr. Spengler wanted us to do what is right for this business." Egon sneered.
