Chapter 35

It is rumored that Luther and Magneto rekindled their alliance after learning about Adder's betrayal. As a result, they have set their sights on the group, for they notice the Ghostbusters desisted the Phantasmogore cult's evil plans. In addition, the cult of the Merging Apocalypse remains in hiding until they converse on their strategy to bring them to their knees.

Quicksilver paces back and forth nervously, trying to ponder a way to warn the others on Luther's horrific scheme though he has kept it secret for so long that he was fearing for his own life and his family's safety.

"Father, you know we are still aligning with Luther Rutledge, but there comes to my suspicion that he was conducting a ritual that would bring the end of the world. He was using Lorna as a volunteer..." Quicksilver muttered a confession though frustrated, "he's not going to believe me."

Avalanche and the other members of the Brotherhood approach Quicksilver.

"OK, Quicksilver, we have been called by Luther Rutledge to gather all the components for the ritual he's implementing." Avalanche revealed.

"Avalanche, I hate to break it to you, but there were rumors I learned that Luther and his cult plot their dark ritual by using his black magic. Aside from that, I'm worried about Mystique's proposal she shared with Luther Rutledge, and it has a cryptic message written all over it." Quicksilver scolded.

"Rumors? Whoever told you about rumors?" Avalanche questioned.

"Yeah, Pietro, you are starting to become paranoid lately." Blob agreed.

"I'm not paranoid! I'm speaking the truth!" Quicksilver complained.

"There is something you might want to do for us there, old buddy." Toad smiled, "Luther is in need of your presence, so why not drop this off at Luther's desk."

"What?" Quicksilver gaped, and he grumbled and marched to the corridor to meet the Cult's leader.

"Unless you're chicken." Toad teased.

"OK, I'll do it. Just for you to quit your nagging." he grumbled.

I'm not trying to bicker my fellow Brotherhood members on what I have confronted throughout the entire course of action. It feels as if a cold hand just yanked me out of the warehouse quarters. Quicksilver thought.

The two teams celebrate their victory at Galazose Castle as well as allow the Ghostbusters to test their skills in the Danger Room. Janine fixes up drinks for the young ghostbusters crew.

"Heads up, Egon!" Janine called, sliding the ecto-cooler as Egon Spengler III catches it in time.

"Thanks, Janine!" Egon smiled.

"There's plenty more where that came from, my friend." she responded.

The celebration is in full swing at Galazose Castle! Janine, the Ghostbusters' trusted receptionist and colleague, is serving up ecto-coolers to the team, and Egon catches his with ease. The atmosphere is lively, with laughter and chatter filling the air. Everyone relished a little joy after a long battle. The young Ghostbusters and X-Men are relishing their hard-won victory, enjoying each other's company, and basking in the glow of their successful teamwork. It's a moment of well-deserved joy and camaraderie, a respite from the supernatural battles they've faced. What's next for the two teams? This is the beginning of a remarkable friendship.

"A toast to us for protecting the Earth from evil forces!" Egon said, "to the X-men!" Egon Spengler III and his team tapped their glasses.

"And to the Ghostbusters!" Cyclops smiled, and the X-Men and he tapped theirs.
