Egon stored the equipment inside the trunk of their vehicle, the Ecto-1. The moon displayed a yellowish color to resemble a distinct view. He closed the trunk door and joined the others inside the vehicle to set their course for Chinatown, where there is a drastic change in gentrification due to relentless paranormal activity escalating from the other end. Dr. Spengler and Slimer waved goodbye as Egon and the other young ghostbusters settled down in Ecto-1. Egon pulled the lever to drive and opened the garage door by pressing the button from the garage door remote control. The ecto-sirens blared as Egon drove the Ecto-1 en route to Chinatown, where massive paranormal activity took place according to surveillance footage. He steered the wheel with precision to turn right.
"I supposed some Chinese food can help get a ghostbuster going. Huh?" Peter responded, feeling his stomach grumbling.
"There are a variety of places in Chinatown, besides the Confucius Plaza, that we can investigate prior to our encounter. On the other hand, we couldn't explore much of the neighborhood." Ray spoke.
"I guess your head is stuck in Chinese noodles, Venkman." Deborah chuckled.
"Haha, real funny, Debs!" Peter scoffed at her, "I hope I don't get stuck with takeouts in the middle of a ghost hunt."
"The last time we were at the Confucius Plaza is when we encountered Yukinata Mato until she let it all out. I understand her troubled feelings about her life almost made me feel bad for her." Winston stated.
"Yes, her despondent demeanor wanted us to take her away." Ray agreed.
"Just to be clear, she has cried huge chunks of ice to harden the floors with spikes." Peter groaned in disbelief.
"Peter, don't you dare insult our troubled ghost." Deborah reprimanded.
"Alright, I won't." Peter responded, his voice alarmed from Deborah's scolding even Egon concurred with her.
"We are doing this for the greater good, Peter." Egon affirmed, "Now, let me double check if we have all our equipment."
"Yes, this constant reminder reveals that she was lost without a direction." Ray added.
"Equipment: check, particle throwers: check! Let's roll, Winston!" Egon exclaimed.
The Ecto-1 sped off into the streets of Chinatown, ready to take on whatever the stakes have taken them. As they drove, the team chatted and joked, their banter a familiar comfort amidst the quandary of their mission.
"I'm starving. Let's grab some dumplings," Peter sighed, his eyes scanning the streets for a food vendor.
"Focus, Venkman," Ray replied, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. "We have a job to do."
"Aw, come on, Ray, a little food wouldn't hurt," Peter wheedled, "it helps my upset stomach."
"Later, Peter," Egon responded firmly. "We need to investigate the Plaza and see if we can find any leads on Kanetsu's whereabouts."
"Fine!" Peter huffed.
"Unless you want another apple to the mouth." Winston smirked.
"But Winston, I can't stand the taste of apples. Besides, its sour taste has me famished." Peter pouted, twisting his lips cynically over the flavor of apples.
"OK, let's investigate the plaza." Egon repeated, cocking an eyebrow in bewilderment before resuming his field work.
"Right, let's get to work," Deborah agreed, her russet brown eyes shining with determination, "shall we?"
Winston nodded, his hands steady on the wheel. "Let's do this."
"Right!" Peter frowned in a gruff tone of voice, crossing his arms and creasing his eyebrows.
