The team unleashed a barrage of proton streams, trapping Kanetsu in a vortex of energy. Mei Hua Yú's psychic powers surged, disrupting Kanetsu's control over the hellfire and banishing the dark magic from the area. Kanetsu struggled to gain control over his enemies, but this immense power was too great for him to turn the tide, considering that the anthemic energy exuded tranquil stability to rid years of utter darkness.
As the energy dissipated, exuding positive energy to thwart evil, Kanetsu stood stunned and defeated, and his malevolent presence vanquished from their view. The Ghostbusters cheered, their bond and teamwork having saved the day once again. They returned to the world of reality after Kanetsu's defeat. As they gladly made their way, the accursed symbols printed on the wall vanished from existence, purging the negative energy.
But as they approached a supine and unconscious Kanetsu Aroka, they noticed something strange in their disposal. A small, intricately carved box lay at his feet, emitting a faint hum. Ray bends on one knee and observes the luminous features of the box, disclosing an array of symbols. In addition, Ray hands the box to Peter to observe its physical details regarding the outcome of the paranormal.
"What's this?" Peter asked, picking up the box.
"I don't know," Egon replied, "but I think we should be cautious. It might be a trap."
"This must be a box once crafted by the first founding members of the Cult of the Merging Apocalypse. Rumor has it, the head of the first Merging Apocalypse cult established the power of these ancient crystals to open a portal to the Netherverse. In addition, those crystals possess a form of power to implement exertion." Ray disclosed.
"Why did it want to bring torment to civilization?" Deborah queried.
"It must be the focus of the concentration of negative energy. Even if the tribulations have begun during the apocalypse, the first Cult of the Merging Apocalypse cherishes every second of it." Ray answered theoretically to her question, "to purify the crystals, the spirit of the psychic dragon, and the people who inherit its keen sense can inhabit the suffering by using their positive energy to rid the negativity from our world."
Suddenly, the box opened, revealing a small, glowing crystal. They noticed the radiance of the crystal beginning to aggravate their emotion.
"Whoa!" Deborah exclaimed. "What is that?"
Mei Hua Yu's eyes widened. "It's a fragment of the ancient artifact! We have to get it back to the lab and study it further."
"Of course, it makes sense, Mei." Ray pointed out, "What do you make of this?"
As they carefully took possession of the crystal, they knew their adventure was far from over. The mysteries of the artifact and Kanetsu's true intentions still lingered, waiting to be uncovered.
Egon hears an incoming call from his mentor, Dr. Spengler.
"Doc, we defeated Kanetsu and discovered a glowing crystal from inside an elaborate box." Egon informed his mentor.
"Interesting." Dr. Spengler asserted, surveying the crystal's unearthly power, "it must be a source of energy that can link us to Luther Rutledge, the cult's leader.
Ray studies the vibrant colors of the first crystal, yet the eerie mien inherits a negative effect coupled with intricately supernatural power.
"Really?" Egon asked, intrigued. "What makes you think that, Doc?"
"Well, Egon, I've been studying the ancient lore and symbolism associated with the cult," Dr. Spengler explained. "The crystal you found is likely a key component in their ritual to summon Luther Rutledge. We need to analyze it further to understand its properties and how it fits into their plans."
