Chapter 11: Purity

Purity

Adelaide's POV

I followed the black crystal that was floating ahead of me, I did my best to travel fast, I didn't want to waste any more time.

May naramdaman akong presensya sa aking likuran at nagpanggap akong wala akong alam.

How do I stop the crystal from floating?

Nasa liblib ako na lugar, tinatahak ang daan patungo sa Olaris. Madilim na ang paligid at may nararamdaman akong presensya ng mga nilalang na nakatago sa likod.

Nilahad ko ang aking palad at napangiti ako ng lumutang ang crystal patungo sa palad ko.

I heard another rustle, so I made my horse ran faster and stopped midway, my horse reared because of it and I held on to the rope tightly before jumping harshly to the ground.

"Lumabas kayo," saad ko.

I don't use swords when I fight, only my powers and my hand. Hindi lumabas ang mga nakasunod sa akin.

There were vines crawling to the ground searching for the enemies and then I felt them getting tighter, meaning, they caught whoever was hiding from that big tree.

I gestured my hand, like I was pulling something and then the vines went in sight again bringing three men.

"Kayo?!" Gulat kong tanong, sila ang mga sumali sa selection.

They didn't answer me, they just got their swords out and then cut the vines wrapping them before launching an attack on me.
Sinalag ko ang mga atake nila gamit ang mga matigas na mga baging.

"Ano ba?!" Sigaw ko.

They didn't answer, they just kept on attacking me and all I did was to protect myself. One sword cut the ends of my hair when I tried to duck again. Buti nalang hindi mataas ang pagkaputol nito.

Nagkasugat ang aking braso nang dumaplis ang espada ng aking kalaban sa akin sanhi ng pagdugo nito.

The blood dripped to the ground and into my long dress. I tried fighting back, the trees moved towards their direction, slowly blocking them but they just kept attacking me.

The leaves on the ground started floating in the air to distract my opponents. Nang makakita ako ng tyempo ay sabay silang nagsibagsakan dahil sa panibagong baging na humawak sa mga kamay at paa nila.

I then summoned flower petals and then it rained to them, making them sleep.

"Are they trying to harm me?"

One was still conscious so I kneeled in front of him and talked. "Bakit niyo ako sinusundan?"

"Ikaw lang ang tanging nakahanap sa mahiwagang puno at sa bato, ngayon, alam namin na patungo ka na sa paghahanap ng bulaklak," matulis ang tingin nito sa akin.

Umawang ang labi ko. "But we're doing this to be a leader, so why are you fighting me when we should be doing the quest on your own?"

"Hindi ka ba nag iisip? Ikaw lamang ang babaeng sumali sa selection, bakit mo ba naisipan yan kung mas nararapat ka sa gawaing bahay?" hindi ko mawari ang sinasabi niya. "Mahina ka, dahil babae ka," ani nito. "Hindi ka nararapat na mamuno sa Erderos."

I couldn't stop myself from slapping him with flowers, I accidentally summoned because of my irritation.

"Pasensya na!" Gulat kong saad. "Ikaw kasi! Bakit mo ako tinatawag na mahina? Hindi dahil babae ako, hindi ko na magagawang mamuno," saad ko sa kanya at sumeryoso ang aking mukha.

"You do not have the right to look down on women just because you think, as a man, you're higher and more capable than us," I said. "You should know that we can do whatever we want if we really like, hindi dahil lalaki ka, mas nakakalamang ka na."
