Leon's POV

The creature in the man's body stared at me and smirked.

Does he take me lightly?

"Release her," I said.

"I do not take any orders from a mere Prince."

A mere Prince?

The clouds started to cover the sky, dimming the whole surrounding. There are shadows passing from everywhere in the corner.

I looked at Adelaide and I almost wanted to torture this person when I saw her with her eyes closed.

Shadows formed below Adelaide's body and it engulfed her to take her somewhere safe.

I can just look for her later, I know she's safe now.

"What do you need from her?" I asked.

It laughed and shook his head, like he didn't
believe what I said. "You do not know her?"

I know her. Of course I know her.

"Do not make me repeat myself," I played with my tongue on the side of my cheeks.

I looked at the man's shadow and hell, I wanted to laugh so hard when I saw it going in my direction.

That's right.

Even his shadow worships me.

"That woman doesn't belong here," he told me.

"She belongs to me," I answered without hesitation. "She is mine."

The man made a sad face, mocking what I said. "Too bad, she belongs in the dark."

"Yeah," I raised my brow to agree. "That's right."

"You finally get it?" He sounds hopeful. "Give her to me and then I'll take her home."

"She belongs to the dark," I repeated what he said. "Which is me," the smile on his face vanished. "My beloved only belongs to me."

"And when you say that she belongs in the dark, that only means she belongs to my darkness, in my domain, in my arms."

I have completely got his shadow. I spread my hand to welcome his shadow in my domain.

But I will not leave him freely.

He will be in infinite darkness. Listening to the void. Even the person he serves will not be able to save him.

He will be trapped there and I could play with him any time that I want... torture him anytime I want.

I would play with him... but Adelaide needs me now so I have to make everything quicker.

His shadow now left the body of our city's enemy, living the man questioning why he was facing me.

"You're an enemy after all," I said and then swiftly appeared behind him. "You attacked her first, right?" I whispered in his ears.

I appeared in front of him again and lifted his body to the ground by choking him. "If it weren't for you, she wouldn't have faced that creature," I said while watching his body shake.

I watched as life left his body, I didn't even let him go even after killing him.

A portal appeared below the ground and I dropped his body there. I could tell that Eira was having fun because of the cold surrounding the mountain.

The portal grew bigger, sucking the enemies nearby and I only watched as they fell to their death.

At that moment, I promised myself to kill whoever lays a hand on Adelaide.
