Epilogue

Adelaide's POV

Nakatingin ako kay Leon habang nasa kama siya, tila pagod na pagod. Mahimbing ang kanyang pagtulog kaya nabigyan ako ng oras upang titigan ang kanyang mukha.

"Suplado," I whispered to myself. Magkasalubong kasi ang mga kilay nya kahit natutulog siya.

I stood up and created a small window. We were in the garden, in the small house I built when the Prince fell asleep on my shoulder.

It has been a year since all of those happened, parang kahapon lang nangyari ang lahat. I smiled when I saw how the trees and plants danced kahit wala namang hangin.

"Hello, Mom," I whispered.

She was not physically here, but I know she's there, somewhere. Walang araw na hindi niya pinaparamdam sa akin na nasa paligid lang siya.

I guess nature has its own way of telling me that she's still here with me.

Napangiti ako nang naramdaman ko ang braso ni Leon na pumulupot sa aking bewang.

"Why are you awake? It's late already," he whispered near my ear. Naramdaman ko pa ang pagdampi ng labi niya doon.

Ngumiti ako at humarap sa kanya. "Nagising kasi ako," sagot ko sa kanya.

"What are you thinking?" He asked, while staring at me with his dark and sleepy eyes.

He looked drunk. Baka nga lasing pa ang prinsipe dahil kakarating lang niya. Tumayo lang ako at nakaramdam na agad siya na wala ako sa kanyang tabi.

"Go home, Adelaide..."

For some reason, I heard the voice again. But this time, I wasn't scared, I was not confused, long was the rapid heart beat when I heard those words because I was finally home.

In the arms of my beloved, I have finally found where I belong.

"Leon..." tawag ko sa kanya. "May sasabihin ako," I said in a serious tone.

His face painted with confusion. "Did I do something wrong? I knew it! I should've gone with you here, blame it all to Magnus, darling, I'm innocent," agad niyang depensa sa kanyang sarili.

"The wine doesn't even taste good, why would I spend the night with that brat?" Patuloy niya.

He held my hand. "I was actually planning to ditch our get together but he stopped me and fed me with all those wine, and then I got drun—"

I rolled my eyes. Sino ba kasi ang nang aaway sa kanya?

Lasing nga si Leon.

Hindi naman ako galit na hindi siya agad sumunod sa akin dito dahil alam kong nagkakasayahan silang magkapatid.

"Tumigil ka nga," saway ko.

"What do you want me to do, flower? Do you want me to bring Magnu—"

"I'm pregnant!" Agad kong sabi sa kanya.

Masyado siyang madaldal, sino ba ang nagsabi na galit ako?

Seconds passed and Leon still didn't answer me. Nakatitig lang siya sa akin at hindi sumagot.

Ayaw niya ba?

My heart started to beat fast. "A-ayaw mo?" My eyes swelled with tears.

"I g-get to have two yous?" His eyes were glistening with tears. "You're pregnant?" Ulit niya sa sinabi ko.

"Oo nga, ayaw mo ba?" My voice was filled with sadness.

He suddenly hugged me and lifted me up off the ground. "Two of you?!" His laugh filled our room. "Fuck yes! Finally!" He said while still lifting me.
