Clues

Adelaide's POV

A blinding light welcomed me when I opened my eyes. I turned to look around the place only to find out that I was surrounded with flowers with beautiful scents.

Green rays of light adorned the whole surrounding where I stood. The breath of fresh air was calming the voices I have been hearing when my eyes were still closed.

I wonder where I am?

I tried to look for a clue to find out where I was. Not one fear entered my heart, the place was just too peaceful.

"Hello?" I innocently blurted, hoping to hear from anyone.

Wala akong narinig na sagot. Mag isa lang ata talaga ako sa lugar na'to.

Ano namang gagawin ko dito? At higit sa lahat, paano ako napunta sa lugar na ito?

The gentle wind slowly touched my skin. Parang pinaghihilom ng lugar nito ang mga sugat na daladala ko.

Umikot-ikot ako sa paligid, nagbabakasali na makakita ng kahit isang nilalang na pwedeng makapag sabi sa akin kung nasaan ako ngunit wala.

Nang umihip ulit ang hangin ay nagtangay tio ng mga bulaklak at ilang dahon, lahat ay kumikinang.

"The abyss is not your home, child..." it seemed like the voice was coming from everywhere.

And when I say everywhere, it means that I could hear the soft voice of a woman talking to me, in the place.

"It is not your home but the answers to your questions are there..."

"Sino ka?"

"Now, open your eyes, Adelaide..." her voice echoed to the surrounding.

Hinanap ko ang pinanggalingan ng boses. I even ran, barefoot in the glowing grass, in the field of power, with my hair dancing to the wind.

But there's no one else here. I was alone.

"Maaari ko bang malaman kung sino ka? Ano ang ibig mong sabihin?"

I was holding the side of my dress, incase I tripped. Buhay na buhay ang kaba sa aking dibdib sa di malamang dahilan.

What does she mean by the abyss? Is she really trying to help me or is she adding the pieces in my puzzled mind?

"Parang awa mo na..." mahinang bulong ko. "Sino ka ba talaga? Sino kayo?"

"I am one of them... but don't you fear me, Clementine Adelaide..."

"What do you mean?! Who are you? What's the abyss?" Sunod sunod kong tanong.

"The answers are in the abyss, Adelaide, your beloved and his family can help you if you let them..."

Si Leon? Paano ako matutulungan ni Leon? Ngayon pa ba ako dadagdag sa problema nila ng Empress? Ngayon na may banta sa aming siyudad?

I slowly fell on my knees. "Who are you?"

"Nature's apprentice..."

Naninikip ang aking dibdib, halo-halong emosyon ang aking nararamdaman na tila ba lahat ng sakit ay aking nararanasan ngayon.

Did she just give me clues about what's happening with me?

Leon's POV

My forehead creased when I noticed that Adelaide was crying in her sleep. Tears are falling from her eyes like waterfalls.

And I just sat there and watched her cry because seeing her like that made me freeze.

When I slowly came back to my senses, I leaned onto her and gently cupped her cheeks, slowly wiping the tears that were falling.
