"(Y/N)!"

"Big sis, (Y/N)!"

There were faint orbs of light, peaking from above. There in the sky, shades of green, blue, and yellow danced hand in hand as sharpness began to focus. Every moment, there was a ring of a bell- or was it a singing voice? The air soothed a blanket of warmth and the wind brought forth movement and life.

A bed of grass tickled and the soothing soil grew indents, accommodating for all creatures living and laying within it. As eyes began centering, a large tree appeared, although- it looked as though one were lying below it, facing the umbrella of leaves leaping between sunlight and branch.

"(Y/N)!"

Was someone singing? There was someone... chirping...

And suddenly, a boy jumped into view. Short, young, yellow haori too big for his body, head nicely shaved, and joyfully skipping in a circle. He had his eyes closed, his mouth open in a smile, as he appeared in and out of vision.

"(Y/N)!" He sung, revealing a wooden sword in the air. He begun waving it, as if calling for someone to watch him experiment with a newly learned action. His arm held high with the sword, his body swaying and struggling to keep it up when-

"(Y/N)."

The weight of my eyelids disappeared upon the change in voice. Had I thought my eyelids were already open? They felt dry, causing me to blink before fully focusing on whoever called my name. Was it a younger voice? I swear I heard...

"(Y/N)." The voice repeated.

I rubbed my eyelids, feeling my shoulders suddenly ache. I loudly exhaled, abruptly remembering the ache in my body being the consequence of laying on nothing but a thin sleeping mat on top of harsh riverside stones.

Yet, it was all worth it.

My eyes lowered to the figure huddled beside me. There, a boar mask was slightly raised to reveal only a nose and slightly open lips, breathing slowly and comfortably. Few locks of his hair slipped out of his mask, revealing hints of ombre blue and black. With his chest rising and falling to the quiet sounds of the river, Inosuke was sound asleep, my haori twirled around his fingers.

The sun had not yet risen yet, still being as dark as it was when I went to bed. Yet, even in the same view, he was still- the most attractive person in the whole world.

I sleepily smile, rubbing his shoulder tenderly and leaning to press my lips against his jawline in a tender kiss.

"(Y/N)."

"Oi." I grumbled, my head clocking to the side as I eyed my crow, Rita, with devil eyes.

My crow shook its small head, jumping forward with a flap of its wings. I felt a slight breeze in the action. While I still laid down, I watched it from my flipped view as it poked at my hair.

"Oi." I repeated.

"We must leave soon." It spoke.

My lips fell into a straight line. Supposedly, I was to hurry to the Butterfly Estate to discuss choosing my own. The plans of what I was going to inherit were put on pause when Tomioka returned to the field and I was now the Ice Hashira, not water or wind.

Yet, even through that excitement of beginning my Hashira journey, part of me begged to stay.

Here.

In this very moment.

Rita found my staring and pondering boring, seeing at the corner of my eye as it dragged my bag into view by its beak alone. Spitting it from its mouth, it shakes its body and rids of any loose feathers.
