Rhaenyra Targaryen's and Daemon Targaryen's nightly trip to Flee Bottom and Rhaenyra's undrunk Moon Tea gave them both a daughter in early 114 AC. Daenys Targaryen, named after Daenys the Dreamer, was born on Dragonstone. Apart from her parents, only Rhaenyra's husband Laenor Velaryon, whom she married shortly after her birth, Laena Velaryon, Laenor Velaryon's sister, and Rhaenys Targaryen, who loved Daenys like her true granddaughter, knew about her.
No one else knew about Daenys, not even her grandfather King Viserys I Targaryen.
Shortly after the wedding between Rhaenyra and Laenor, Rhaenyra asked her closest friend Nora Stark to take Daenys with her to Winterfell. Nora was the youngest sister of the Lord of Winterfell. This led to an alliance between Rhaenyra and House Stark, as House Stark swore to hide Daenys from the eyes of the vipers and let her grow up away from intrigues.
However, Daenys left Dragonstone not only with Nora Stark, but with two of her most loyal companions. The Silver Duo, Meraxes and Silverwing.

Early 114 AC:
"You have to push, Princess!"
Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen had been in labour for several hours. The closer she came to the hoped-for birth, the darker the skies over Dragonstone seemed. She wanted to give birth to her child unseen by the evil tongues in the Red Keep. Daemon Targaryen, the child's father, and her future husband, Laenor Velaryon, were waiting outside the door to her room.
Rhaenyra's screams didn't seem to want to stop and suddenly all was quiet.
"Princess, congratulations. It's a girl." "I want to hold her, please give her to me."
With that, the princess took her little daughter into her arms.
"Please, let Daemon and Laenor in."
The door opened and Daemon Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon stepped into the room.
"It's a girl." These words were enough for both men to step closer to the bed to look at the little princess.
Laenor was the first to regain his voice. "What do you want her to be called?" "Daenys, after Daenys the Dreamer."
"A beautiful name for our beautiful daughter. Laenor, please protect my little girl." "I will Daemon. This is a promise!"
The skies over Dragonstone continued to be darker than ever, but as Princess Rhaenyra spoke her daughter's name, two different dragons could be heard roaring.
Meraxes, who barely survived the attack 10 AC and was blind on one eye, and Silverwing, who already had her nest on Dragonstone, felt a close connection to the little princess. So it was that shortly after her birth, Daeny's was able to call two dragons her most loyal companions.
The Silver Dragon was born!
