That one night in the brothel in Flea Bottom between Rhaenyra and Daemon and the "forgotten" Moon Tea the next day were not without consequences. In early 114 AC, Rhaenyra gave birth to a daughter on Dragonstone. This happened without the knowledge...
'Good morning, Princess. Lord Stark asked me to tell you that he is waiting for you in the courtyard.' 'Thank you very much. I'll be down in a moment.'
Putting on her cloak, Daenys walked out of her room and to the courtyard, where Cregan was already waiting for her with some men.
'Daenys, thank you again for coming with me. Will Meraxes or Silverwing be coming with us?' 'I'm happy to come with you and no, neither of them will. Silverwing set off for Dragonstone last night and I think Meraxes is enjoying the peace and quiet. Who are all these men travelling with us to Castle Black?' 'Some of them are knights travelling with us to protect us and the others are joining the Night's Watch. Let's set off.'
So, they all mounted their horses and rode through the gate of Winterfell towards Castle Black.
The ride to Castle Black was relatively quiet and no words were exchanged. Daenys took a close look at the nature and was once again amazed by the beauty of the north.
The Lord Commander was already waiting for the group at the gates of Castle Black.
'Lord Stark, Princess Daenys Targaryen, it is an honor for me and the others to have you here.' 'Thank you very much, Lord Commander. The Princess and I are very grateful that you have taken the time. We have also brought some men with us who will join the Night's Watch.' The group then walked through the gate and Daenys and Cregan were led into the Lord Commander's Tower. There they had a lot to discuss, including the state of the Wall and the Night's Watch. After a few hours of talking, Cregan and Daenys went on a short tour of Castle Black and the Wall. Standing on the Wall, they both investigated the wilderness that lay beyond.
'Wow. I never realised it was so huge.' 'When I was here for the first time, I thought the same. Do you know how big the Wall really is, Daenys?' 'The wall stretches for 300 miles and is 700 feet tall. It is made of solid ice, stones and earth. It is also said that you can see the Wall from Oldtown. Shall I tell you more? Septa Ona and Nora had already made sure four years ago that I knew all about the Wall, the Night's Watch and their job. I also know about the Long Night, which took place over seven thousand years ago, and what may yet come.' 'What don't you know? You soak up any information you're given as if it were the easiest thing in the world for you.' With a slight smile on her lips, Daenys turned her gaze back to the vast, snow-covered wilderness.
Daenys and Cregan spent the night at King's Tower. 'Cregan, you really should start courting her.' 'Who? What are you talking about?' 'I mean Lady Arra Norrey, who we've known since childhood. I can see the looks you're giving her. So, when are you going to start courting her? I would like to witness the wedding between you two before I leave for Dragonstone.' 'Woah, woah. Daenys, I... Oh, damn, you're right. I'll ask her when we get back to Winterfell if she'd like to go for a walk with me.' 'Do that.' Rolling her eyes, Daenys went into the adjoining room and lay down in the bed there. The night at Castle Black passed quietly and without any major incidents.
So, the next morning dawned sooner than expected and the group around Lord Cregan Stark and Princess Daenys Targaryen set off on their journey back.
When they arrived in Winterfell, Cregan put his words into action and asked Arra for a walk, during which he would begin to court her.
Nora Stark watched her nephew and Arra Norrey and was delighted by her nephew's actions. 'He never would have asked her if I hadn't said something.' 'Oh, Daenys, I didn't even notice you. Well, let's hope he doesn't mess it up.' 'I don't think we need to worry about that, because Arra knows how Cregan ticks and we're still here if need be.' Nora looked at Daenys with a smile. The little bundle she arrived here with twelve years ago was developing more and more into a future queen. 'A letter came for you from your mum. It was left in your room.' 'Thank you. I'll go straight to my room and read it. I'll see you tomorrow.'
With a quick step, the young Princess ran to her room, where her mother's letter lay. She took the letter and sat down in front of the fireplace, where the fire was crackling.
A few weeks had passed since the return from Castle Black and Cregan Stark had managed to convince Arra Norrey to marry him. Their wedding had taken place a few days earlier.
Daenys was sitting with Shadow in front of the cave of her two she dragons, leaning against Meraxes. Silverwing had not yet returned from Dragonstone. While Daenys leant against Meraxes, she read the letter she had received from her mother.

Smiling, she put the letter in her pocket and stroked Shadow with one hand while she ran her other hand over Meraxes' scales. Suddenly, Meraxes raised her head abruptly and tensed. Daenys noticed this immediately but trusted her dragon completely. Then Daenys and everyone else in Winterfell heard the roar of a dragon, but she knew immediately that it wasn't Silverwing.
