That one night in the brothel in Flea Bottom between Rhaenyra and Daemon and the "forgotten" Moon Tea the next day were not without consequences. In early 114 AC, Rhaenyra gave birth to a daughter on Dragonstone. This happened without the knowledge...
Arriving at Dragonstone, Daenys climbed off Silverwing's back and greeted her faithfully waiting Direwolve Shadow. 'Hello, my boy, I've brought all three with me again.' With a squeeze, she cuddled the big Direwolve and enjoyed the cuddle session with him. The three dragons watched the interaction. Before Daenys went back to the castle, she stroked the three dragon's goodbye.
Once in her room, Daenys sat down on her bed and thought about Cregan's words. He was right, she had to open the letter, or she would never know who it was from. Daenys took the letter in her hand and opened it:

When Daenys finished reading the letter, it was definitely not what she had expected. One thought settled in Daenys' mind; she must speak to one of the Masters tomorrow to find out more about her extended family.
First thing the next morning, Daenys made her way to one of the masters. 'Master Alwyn, do you have a moment for me?' 'Of course, Princess, what is it about?' 'Can you tell me about the rest of my family? I mean my grandfather's family with his second wife?' 'They have four children together. Aegon Targaryen is the eldest, followed by Helaena Targaryen and then Aemond Targaryen. The youngest of the four is Daeron Targaryen. All four are dragon riders. Aegon's dragon is Sunfyre, a golden dragon. Helaena's dragon is Dreamfyre a she-dragon who is a little older than Silverwing. You already know the story of how Aemond got his dragon. Daeron's dragon is also called the Blue Queen. Like your namesake, Helaena is a so-called dragon dreamer. She sees things that lie in the future.' 'Mh... Thank you Master Alwyn, that helped me a lot.' 'Always happy to help. If there's anything else, you know where to find me.' 'Thank you very much. I hope you have a good day.'
Daenys headed to the spot where her dragons were lying. Once there, she realised that only Meraxes and Shadow were there. Most likely Silverwing and Vermithor were travelling together. She stroked Shadow through his fur and Meraxes over her muzzle. Afterwards, Daenys sat down on the floor and thought about her conversation with Master Alwyn. When she left the library, Daenys had taken one of the books with her. The book was about the story of Daenys the Dreamer. She hoped that the book would give her an insight into the gift that Helaena possessed. Daenys flipped through the book until one thing caught her eye. This gift can manifest itself in different ways. Daenys the Dreamer was able to reproduce exactly what she saw, as was Aegon the Conquerer. However, it is also possible that the person concerned can only speak in riddles. Interesting!
Daenys decided to meet Helaena tomorrow, because Daenys also wanted to get to know Helaena. Now Daenys only had one question: which dragon should she fly there with? If Vermithor and Silverwing weren't back by tomorrow, she would have to fly there with Meraxes, but she didn't want to reveal Meraxes' existence. So, there was only hope that the two Lovebirds would decide to come back.
After her stop with Meraxes and Shadow, Daenys went to her mum, with whom she would have lessons about her future role for the rest of the afternoon.
The time passed quickly, as Daenys loved this lesson, even though she had already learnt much of it from Master Alwyn. Daenys walked to her room and sat down at her desk to write to her grandmother, because during her lesson Daenys had asked her mum if she could fly to Driftmark for a few days and she wanted to tell her grandmother.
The next morning came quicker than Daenys hoped as the nervousness was unbearable. She told her mum that she was going on a little trip with one of her dragons and hoped that Silverwing and Vermithor would be back as she walked towards the mooring. She saw all three dragons from afar and took a deep breath. The two of them had made it back. When she arrived at her dragons, she greeted each of them warmly. 'Well, Silverwing, fancy a ride?' Silverwing let out an approving noise and positioned herself so that Daenys could climb up. No matter what awaited her there, Silverwing would show everyone that she was in no way inferior to the other two.
Silverwing lifted off elegantly and flew to the ruin once known as The Whispers. Once there, Silverwing landed and Daenys climbed off her back. A little further away, she saw two dragons and not just one.
