Planning of a Trap

In King's Landing

Aegon sat in his room and thought about the best way to approach Helaena. His mother was with Helaena almost all the time. A knock on his door snapped the young king out of his thoughts. 'Come in,' he called, and the door opened. Helaena, his younger sister, entered his room. 'Aegon, do you have a moment for me?' 'Of course, Lena. How can I help you?' Helaena walked over to Aegon and sat down in the chair next to his. 'You have to warn Dany. Cole and Aemond are planning a trap. Most likely with Rook's Rest as the setting, because the Lord of Rock's Rest is on Rhaenyra's side. They will take advantage of this, because if Rhaenyra leaves her allies alone, it would reflect badly.' 'I'll warn her. How are you?' 'I'm not doing so well, but I know he's in a better place now. Aegon, please promise me something.' 'Of course.' 'Please don't die and take care of Dany.' 'I'll do everything I can to keep Dany safe and of course I'll try not to die.' Aegon and Helaena sat together for a while and talked about various things, as they hadn't had the chance to do so recently.

Late in the evening, Aegon once again sat in a council meeting. He hated these moments. Inwardly, he knew that this had never been something for him and never would be. This was something Dany could handle much better. But he had no choice if he wanted to give information to Dany from the inside. 'My king, we must set a trap. The number of the false queen's allies is increasing daily. We must decimate them.' 'What do you propose, Ser Cole?' 'A trap at Rook's Rest. We attack and Aemond will wait with Vhagar until the false queen sends someone or appears on her dragon herself. Then the trap will snap shut.' 'Then prepare everything.'

After the meeting, Aegon entered his chamber and sat down at his table to write a message to Dany. He went to the balcony, where the white owl was already waiting, and tied the letter around her neck. The white owl set off for Dragonstone to take the warning to Daenys. Aegon hoped that the letter would reach her in time.

At Dragonstone

Daenys was sitting with her three dragons and looking up at the starry sky. Suddenly she heard the fluttering of small wings and looked in the direction where the sound was coming from. The white owl landed on a stone in front of Daenys. Daenys took the letter and sat back down on the ground to read it. After reading the letter, she ran back into the castle as quickly as possible. 'Mum!' 'Daenys, what's wrong?' 'I've just received a message from one of my spies in King's Landing. They're planning a trap at Rook's Rest. They want to lure you or one of us there by attacking Rook's Rest, and then they want the trap to snap shut. In the form of Vhagar and Aemond.' 'That doesn't sound good. What am I supposed to do?' Rhaenyra muttered the last part to herself. Daenys heard this already. Daenys also didn't want to say who was really telling her this information. Rhaenyra turned round and began to walk away. 'Mother, we have to warn them. We can't let it come to this.' But Rhaenyra seemed to ignore her daughter. Angry and frustrated, Daenys ran back to her dragons. Her thoughts briefly wandered to Jace. He had been back on Dragonstone since the morning. When Daenys arrived at her dragons, her grandmother was already waiting for her. 'Grandmother, is everything all right? Can I help you?' 'Have you heard anything from Aegon?' 'Yes, and nothing good.' 'What's going on?' 'Apparently Aemond and Cole are planning a trap, and he couldn't stop it and had to agree. They want to set this trap at Rook's Rest and Mother seems to be ignoring me. We need to warn the people at Rook's Rest and get them out of there. I don't want anyone else to die.' 'Daenys, my dear, I don't think your mother has any idea what she can or should do. She's never really cared about this.' Rhaenys and Daenys talked about it for a while and what they could do.

They had to come up with a plan, and fast!

Hello everybody, should I send Rhaenys to Rook's Rest and what should happen to her?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know yet if another part is coming this week, as I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with Rook's Rest.
