She's about to reply to me, when a knock on the door interrupts her.
I let out a groan of frustration, as she scrambles off of me, and rolls of the bed, and on to the floor, before I gruffly shout "Come in" to the person on the other side of the door.
The door creaks open, revealing the culprit who interrupted me and Paedyn, it was none other than Mak.
He seems calm and composed, although his eyes tell another story, flustered?
Oh... he must've heard me and Paedyn...
I try to continue as if I didn't realize, thank God I've had so much practice with my masks.
"Uhm... dinner's ready, you can come and eat when you're ready." he finally announced awkwardly, before he slowly shut the door behind him.
Paedyn and I both sigh in relief simultaneously, once he's left.
"Shall we finish what we began then, darling?" I slyly say after a moment or so passes.
She looks up at me from the floor, she chuckles, then finally replies "Is that all you think about, Prince?"
I shake my head at her and get off the bed, and swiftly pick her up from the ground, bridal style, she squeals in delight, and proceeds to wrap her arms around my neck, and rests her head against my chest. Finally, when she's comfortable she looks up. She looks up and out eyes clash together with such force, I have to force myself to breathe for a moment. Those ocean blue eyes, those damn beautiful eyes. I'm drowning. I'm sinking. I'm dying for breath, I can't stop myself, I never have been able to. God, is this what love feels like? I'm suffocated by it. I'm surrounded by it. I'm intoxicated by it. It's a drug that I'll never get enough of. I've never felt like this before. Not anywhere with anyone. Nobody except her. Only her. Forever her.
"Gray, can you promise me something?" I finally say, breaking the silence.
"Depends on what it is, Azer"
I chuckle at her response and continue " Well Paedyn, do you remember the day we first met?"
She cocks her head to the side, confused as to why I'm asking, while nodding slowly "Yes... yes I do, I remember it rather vividly, in Loot alley, when I stole from you... I didn't know who you were then"
I nod, remembering the moment, "Well, do you want to know a little secret about when you stole from me?"
Curiosity gleams in her eyes, and I take that as my signal to continue talking "Well that day, you didn't just steal my silvers...no you stole something so much more important, you stole my heart that day, I don't think I could've stopped it even if I wanted to, falling for you was inevitable." I pause for a moment, hearing her breaths and mine in sync, her eyes, the shade of forget-me-nots, had softened at my words. "Now as for the promise... please don't ever give me it back, it's yours to keep, and only yours, my heart is for you, yours forever, only yours, and I never ever want it back."
I gaze into her eyes, and she returns it with a soft look of her own, her mouth forming a small smile, enough to make my heart flutter
"Never?"
"Never."
And with that I carry her out the room, and finally put her down, before we make our way to dinner.
