"What if I'm just...broken?"

The sun had set, casting long shadows over the grounds of Jujutsu High. The day's tension slowly melted away, replaced by the quiet serenity of evening. In one of the quieter corners of the campus, Geto sat on a wooden bench, cradling his guitar. His fingers moved deftly over the strings, producing a soft, soothing melody that filled the air.

He often found solace in music, using it as an escape from the constant frenzy of their lives. Tonight, his thoughts were particularly heavy with the memories of the day's events and the faces of the children they had rescued. As he played, his mind wandered, and the notes of the song seemed to echo his inner turmoil and hopes.

Unbeknownst to him, Rei was walking down the path, her mind preoccupied with her own thoughts. The sound of the guitar drew her in, a beacon of calm in her stormy world. She followed the music, her steps light and hesitant, until she found herself standing at the edge of the clearing where Geto played.

She paused, watching him from a distance. There was something about the way he played, the way he seemed lost in the music, that made her feel a connection. She took a tentative step forward, then another, until she was standing just a few feet away.

Geto looked up, startled out of his reverie. His fingers stilled on the strings as he met Rei's gaze. She looked embarrassed, as if she had intruded on something private. "I'm sorry," she said quickly, turning to leave. "I didn't mean to disturb you."

Geto's voice stopped her. "Wait," he said softly. "You can stay if you want. I don't mind."

Rei hesitated, then nodded, moving to sit on the bench beside him. "I didn't know you played," she said, her voice almost a whisper.

Geto smiled, a small, genuine smile that reached his eyes. "It's something I picked up a while back. Helps me clear my head."

Rei nodded, understanding. "Can you play something for me?" she asked, her tone hopeful but shy.

He nodded, adjusting his grip on the guitar. "Any requests?"

She thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Surprise me."

Geto's fingers resumed their dance over the strings, and a new melody filled the air. This one was different, more tender and filled with emotion. He began to sing, his voice low and rich, the words melding with the music to create a hauntingly beautiful song.

Rei closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her. She felt a sense of peace she hadn't known in a long time, as if the music was a balm for her impaired soul. She listened to the lyrics, feeling the emotions behind them, and realised that Geto was sharing a part of himself with her.
