“But now, it seems my silence has only put her in more danger”

The air in the trap room was thick with tension and frustration. The team stood scattered, their eyes scanning the sterile, white walls for any possible exit. The room seemed designed to mock their efforts, with its seamless surfaces and glaring lights. Gojo paced back and forth, his usually calm demeanour replaced by an impatient edge. Geto leaned against the wall, his arms crossed, occasionally glancing at Rei, who was nervously fidgeting with her fingers. Yaga stood silently, his face a mask of deep concern.

Without warning, a low hum resonated through the room, and a large screen descended from the ceiling. It flickered to life, revealing a live feed of a dimly lit laboratory. The camera focused on Y/N, bound to a chair, her eyes wide with fear and confusion. Her hair, once vibrant and expressive, now hung limply around her face. The restraints on her wrists glinted under the harsh lights, adding to the cold, clinical atmosphere of the room.

"Y/N!" Rei gasped, rushing towards the screen. The others followed, their faces contorting with horror as they watched the scene unfold. Dr. Yanagi stood beside Y/N, holding a syringe filled with a glowing, greenish liquid. His expression was one of clinical detachment, as if he were merely observing a specimen rather than a human being.

A voice crackled through the speakers, calm and confident. "Welcome, esteemed guests. I must thank you for delivering the Jujutsu Goddess into our hands. Your efforts have been most helpful."

The team tensed at the words, their minds racing. Gojo's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in them. "What the hell are you talking about?" he demanded, his voice laced with barely controlled anger.

The voice chuckled softly. "Ah, Satoru Gojo, always so quick to question. The young woman you see before you is no ordinary person. She is a goddess, or rather, the reincarnation of one. A being of immense power and potential, long prophesied in the ancient texts of jujutsu."

Yaga's face tightened, and he muttered a curse under his breath. "Damn it," he whispered, almost to himself. "I should have told her..."

Gojo caught the murmured words and turned to Yaga, his expression a mix of confusion and urgency. "What do you mean, you should have told her?" he demanded. "Told her what?"

Yaga hesitated, glancing at the screen where Y/N struggled against her restraints. The sight of her suffering seemed to steel his resolve. He took a deep breath and began, his voice heavy with regret. "There's a legend," he said slowly, "about a powerful entity known as the Jujutsu Goddess. According to the old texts, this goddess once roamed the world, wielding power far beyond that of any sorcerer. She was capable of shaping reality itself, a force of creation and destruction."

As Yaga spoke, the others listened intently, the weight of his words settling heavily on their shoulders. The voice on the speaker remained silent, allowing Yaga to continue.

"The legend says that this goddess was a double-edged sword," Yaga continued, his voice low and sombre. "She could bring great prosperity, but also unimaginable destruction. In the end, she was sealed away by a group of powerful sorcerers who feared her potential. They created a prophecy: the goddess would one day be reincarnated, and her power would be awakened once more."

Rei, standing closest to the screen, turned to Yaga, her eyes wide with shock. "Are you saying Y/N is...?"

Yaga nodded gravely. "Yes. From the moment I met Y/N, I sensed something extraordinary about her. As I watched her grow, her abilities, more than three cursed techniques, her potential—it all matched the descriptions from the ancient texts. But I never told her, or anyone else, because I didn't want to believe it. I hoped that by keeping her in the dark, we could prevent the prophecy from coming true."

The voice on the speaker interjected, a tone of mocking sympathy in its voice. "How touching, Yaga. You tried to protect her, but in the end, you only delayed the inevitable. The goddess's power will awaken, and with it, the potential for great change—or great destruction."

Gojo clenched his fists, anger flaring in his eyes. "So you've known all along," he said, his voice dangerously calm. "You knew Y/N was the reincarnation of this so-called goddess, and you kept it a secret."

Yaga met Gojo's gaze, a pained expression on his face. "I did," he admitted. "I thought if she never knew, if she never tapped into that power, we could avoid the worst. But now, it seems my silence has only put her in more danger."

On the screen, Dr. Yanagi adjusted the syringe, preparing to inject Y/N with the unknown substance. Y/N's eyes darted around in panic, her voice muffled but pleading. The team could only watch in helpless horror, their hands tied by the trap that held them.

The voice on the speaker continued, almost gleefully. "The serum Dr. Yanagi is preparing will begin the process of awakening the goddess's true form. Her latent powers will surface, and with proper guidance, she will become the most powerful sorcerer in existence—far surpassing even the likes of Gojo Satoru."

Rei's eyes filled with tears as she turned back to the screen. "We have to stop them," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "We can't let them do this to her."

Geto stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Rei's shoulder. "We'll find a way," he said firmly. "We can't let them turn her into a weapon."

Yaga nodded, his expression determined. "I failed her once by keeping the truth from her. I won't fail her again. We'll save Y/N and stop these people. No matter what it takes."
