“We're pretty good matchmakers, huh?”

Y/N sat on the grassy hill overlooking the campus, her head resting on Gojo's shoulder. The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over the buildings and trees. They sat in comfortable silence, enjoying the peaceful evening. Y/N broke the silence with a soft chuckle.

"What's so funny?" Gojo asked, turning his head to look at her.

"Guess what?" Y/N began, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Gojo raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's got you all excited?"

Y/N leaned in, whispering conspiratorially, "Rei likes Geto. Like, really likes him. She told me everything."

Gojo's eyes widened, and then a mischievous smile spread across his face. "Oh, this is going to be fun," he said, leaning back and crossing his arms. "What's the plan?"

Y/N's mind raced with possibilities. "We should totally push them together. Like, arrange situations where they have to be alone or do something romantic."

The next day, Y/N and Gojo put their plan into action. Y/N invited Rei to the training grounds, while Gojo did the same with Geto, telling them both that they needed help with some 'urgent training exercises.'

Rei arrived first, looking around the empty training grounds in confusion. "Y/N? Where are you?"

Y/N popped out from behind a tree, a mischievous grin on her face. "Hey, Rei! Thanks for coming. I need your help with something."

Rei raised an eyebrow. "What kind of help?"

Before Y/N could answer, Geto arrived, looking equally confused. "Satoru said you needed help with training, Y/N. What's going on?"

Y/N and Gojo exchanged a knowing look, their grins widening. "Actually, we need both of you for this," Y/N said, trying to keep a straight face. "It's a special training exercise."

Rei and Geto glanced at each other, suspicion growing in their eyes. "What kind of exercise?" Geto asked.

"Glad you asked!" Gojo clapped his hands together. "We need you two to go on a... mission. Yeah, a mission. Together."

Rei's eyes narrowed. "A mission?"

Y/N nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, it's crucial. You two need to go to the tea house in town and... gather information. It's very important."

Rei crossed her arms, her scepticism evident. "Information about what?"

Y/N waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, you know, stuff. Just go, have some tea, and keep an eye out for... anything suspicious."

Geto raised an eyebrow. "This sounds like an excuse to get us to go on a date."

Y/N and Gojo feigned shock, placing their hands over their hearts. "Us? Meddling in your love lives? Never!" Gojo said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Rei and Geto exchanged another look, but before they could protest further, Y/N and Gojo practically shoved them out the gate. "Go, go! It's very important!" Y/N insisted.

As Rei and Geto reluctantly walked toward the tea house, Y/N and Gojo watched them go, their faces alight with triumph. "They'll thank us later," Y/N said confidently.

At the tea house, Rei and Geto sat across from each other, the awkwardness palpable. The waitress brought them tea, and they sipped in silence for a few moments.

Rei finally broke the silence, her tone half-amused, half-annoyed. "So, this is definitely a setup."

Geto chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, they're not exactly subtle, are they?"

Rei smiled, feeling the tension ease slightly. "I guess not. But, since we're here... how have you been?"

Geto leaned back in his chair, relaxing a bit. "I've been good. A bit sore from recent battles, but nothing I can't handle. How about you?"

Rei shrugged, her smile growing. "Same here. It's been... interesting, to say the least."

They talked more easily after that, sharing stories and laughs. The initial awkwardness faded away, replaced by a comfortable camaraderie. As they chatted, Geto found himself drawn to Rei's laughter and the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about things she was passionate about. Rei, in turn, felt a warmth in her chest whenever Geto smiled at her, a sense of connection that grew stronger with each passing moment.

Back at the campus, Y/N and Gojo were pacing nervously, waiting for any sign of their friends. "Do you think it's going well?" Y/N asked, biting her lip.

Gojo nodded, though he looked equally anxious. "It has to be. They were practically made for each other."

Just then, they saw Rei and Geto returning, walking side by side. They couldn't hear what they were saying, but both were smiling and laughing. Y/N and Gojo exchanged a triumphant look.

As Rei and Geto approached, Y/N couldn't resist asking, "So, how did the... mission go?"

Rei rolled her eyes playfully. "Very subtle, Y/N. Very subtle."

Geto chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, we figured it out. But it wasn't so bad."

Y/N's eyes sparkled with excitement. "So...?"

Rei glanced at Geto, who smiled and took her hand. "So... we're going to give this a try," Rei said, her voice soft but filled with happiness.

He reached out, gently taking her hand in his. "So, does this mean... we're dating now?"

Rei giggled, nodding. "Yeah, I think it does."

Geto smiled widely, leaning in to kiss her softly. "Good. Because I really want to get to know you better."

Rei blushed, squeezing his hand. "Me too."

Y/N let out a delighted squeal, hugging Rei tightly. "I knew it! You two are perfect together!"

Gojo hit Geto on the back playfully, grinning. "About time. You owe us big time, you know."

Geto laughed, shaking his head. "Yeah, yeah. Thanks, you two."

As they walked back to their rooms, hand in hand, Y/N and Gojo watched from a distance, high-fiving each other in victory.

"Mission accomplished," Y/N whispered, grinning.

Gojo chuckled, pulling her into a hug. "We're pretty good matchmakers, huh?"

Y/N laughed, snuggling into his embrace. "Yeah, we are."

It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
