“You looked like you were about to faint!”

Rei stood outside Y/N's dorm room, fidgeting nervously. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, replaying the kiss she shared with Geto and the confusion she felt afterward. She had come to Y/N for clarity, but now, standing in front of her door, she wasn't sure how to bring up the topic. What if Y/N disapproves? What if she gets angry?

Taking a deep breath, Rei knocked on the door. Y/N's cheerful voice called out, "Come in!" She opened the door and found Y/N sitting on her bed, flipping through a magazine. Y/N looked up and smiled brightly. "Hey, Rei! What's up?"

Rei entered, closing the door behind her. "Hi, Y/N. I... um, wanted to talk to you about something." She sat down on the edge of the bed, playing with the hem of her shirt nervously.

Y/N raised an eyebrow, sensing the tension. "Sure, what's on your mind?" She leaned back, giving Rei her full attention.

Rei hesitated, her heart pounding in her chest. "Well, uh, actually... I was wondering if you could show me around the campus. I haven't really had a chance to meet everyone yet."

Y/N blinked, momentarily surprised. "Oh, sure! I'd love to introduce you to everyone." She smiled, though she couldn't shake the feeling that Rei was avoiding something. "Let's go then."

They walked out of the dorms, heading towards the main courtyard. The sun was shining, and the campus was bustling with students. Y/N started pointing out different buildings and landmarks, explaining the history and significance of each. As they walked, they bumped into various students, whom Y/N introduced to Rei with her usual enthusiasm.

Rei tried to focus on the introductions, but her mind kept drifting back to Geto. She couldn't stop herself from sneaking glances at the group of students hanging out near the training grounds, where Geto was sitting on a bench, chatting with some classmates. As they approached, Geto looked up and saw them. He smiled warmly at Rei, who immediately felt her face heat up. She looked away, trying to hide her blush.

Y/N noticed Rei's reaction and raised an eyebrow. Interesting. She decided to keep a close eye on her friend. After a few more introductions, they continued their tour around the campus. As they walked, Y/N couldn't help but notice Rei's distracted demeanor. Something was definitely up.

When they reached a quieter area of the campus, near a small garden with blooming flowers, Y/N turned to Rei with a playful grin. "Alright, spill it. What's going on? You've been acting weird all morning."

Rei looked at her in surprise. "What do you mean?"

Y/N crossed her arms, a knowing smile on her face. "Come on, Rei. You've been blushing and stuttering ever since we passed by Geto. And don't think I didn't notice how you tried to avoid talking about anything serious earlier. What's up?"

Rei's eyes widened, her cheeks flushing a deep red. She looked down at the ground, feeling cornered. "I... um... well..." She sighed, finally deciding to come clean. "Okay, fine. I was trying to tell you something, but I wasn't sure how you'd react."

Y/N's smile softened, and she placed a reassuring hand on Rei's shoulder. "Hey, it's just me. You can tell me anything. I promise I won't get mad."

Rei took a deep breath, gathering her courage. "Well, the thing is... I kind of... maybe... have feelings for Geto."

There was a moment of silence, during which Rei anxiously waited for Y/N's reaction. But instead of anger or disappointment, Y/N's face lit up with a bright smile. She let out a delighted laugh, causing Rei to look up in surprise.

"That's what you were worried about?" Y/N grinned, shaking her head. "Rei, that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you!"

Rei blinked, her mouth slightly open in disbelief. "You're... not mad?"

Y/N laughed again, giving Rei a playful nudge. "Why would I be mad? He's a great guy, and you're amazing. If you two like each other, that's awesome! Besides," she added with a mischievous glint in her eye, "I've always thought you two would make a cute couple."

Rei felt a mix of relief and embarrassment wash over her. "Really? You think so?"

"Absolutely!" Y/N nodded enthusiastically. "I mean, come on, you two are practically perfect for each other. And I could tell something was up when he smiled at you earlier. You looked like you were about to faint!" She teased, laughing at the memory.

Rei couldn't help but join in the laughter, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders. "I guess I was a little overwhelmed," she admitted, smiling shyly. "I just didn't know how to tell you. I was worried you'd be upset, considering your close bond with Geto."

Y/N shook her head, still smiling. "He's my brother, but that doesn't mean I'd be upset about him finding someone who makes him happy. And if that someone is you, then I'm all for it." She squeezed Rei's hand, her eyes shining with sincerity. "You have my full support, Rei. You both deserve happiness."

Rei felt a wave of gratitude and warmth wash over her. "Thank you, Y/N. That means a lot to me." She paused, then added with a grin, "I was actually planning on asking him out, but... well, things got a little complicated."

Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? How so?"

Rei hesitated for a moment before recounting the events that had led up to the kiss. She told Y/N about the song Geto had played, the emotions it stirred in her, and how they had shared a spontaneous kiss afterward. As she spoke, she noticed Y/N listening intently, her expression a mix of curiosity and amusement.

When she finished, Y/N let out a delighted squeal. "That's so romantic! And you say you weren't sure if he liked you back?" She rolled her eyes playfully. "Rei, he wrote a song for you. That's like the ultimate declaration of love."

Rei blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and happiness. "I guess you're right," she admitted, smiling. "I just... I don't know, I felt a little unsure. But now, thanks to you, I feel a lot better about it."

Y/N grinned, pulling Rei into a warm hug. "Good! Because you deserve to be happy, and so does Geto. You two should definitely go for it."

Rei hugged her back, feeling a sense of contentment and relief. She had been worried about Y/N's reaction, but her friend's support and encouragement had eased her fears. As they pulled away, Rei looked at Y/N with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Y/N. For everything."

Y/N smiled back, her eyes sparkling. "Anytime, Rei. That's what friends are for."

The two of them walked back to Y/N's dorm, chatting and laughing about everything and nothing. The atmosphere was light and carefree, a stark contrast to the intensity of the past few days. As they reached Y/N's room, Rei felt a sense of peace settle over her. She knew that whatever happened next, she had the support of her friends, and that was more than enough.

As they entered the room, Y/N turned to Rei with a playful grin. "So, when are you going to ask Geto out? You can't keep him waiting forever, you know."

Rei laughed, feeling a blush creep up her cheeks again. "I'll figure it out," she promised. "But for now, let's just enjoy the moment."

Y/N nodded in agreement, flopping onto her bed with a content sigh. "Sounds good to me."

The two friends spent the rest of the evening chatting, laughing, and just enjoying each other's company. It was a much-needed break from the chaos of their recent adventures, a moment of normalcy amidst the extraordinary. And as they talked, Rei felt a renewed sense of hope and optimism for the future. With friends like Y/N and Geto by her side, she knew she could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
