“Sorry, but you'll have to try harder than that”

The air was electric with tension as Geto, Gojo, Rei, and Yaga faced off against the newly awakened goddess. Her presence was overwhelming, an aura of power radiating from her that made the ground tremble and the air buzz with energy. Her transformation was complete, her form a mesmerizing yet terrifying blend of human and divine, draped in a red aura that flickered like flames. Her eyes, once familiar and warm, now glowed with an otherworldly intensity.

Gojo was the first to act, his confident grin masking the concern in his eyes. "Geto, let's keep her busy," he said, his voice carrying a calm authority. He flicked his fingers, activating his technique. A shimmering barrier formed around him, distorting the space as he readied himself for the battle.

Geto nodded, summoning a series of curses to aid him. The creatures materialized, their monstrous forms contrasting sharply with the goddess's ethereal appearance. "Rei, stay close and be ready to teleport us if things get rough," Geto instructed, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through him.

Rei nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt the weight of the situation pressing down on her, but she steeled herself. She couldn't afford to falter now. She activated her teleportation technique, the air around her shimmering with the potential to shift space.

The goddess watched them with a cold, detached gaze. It was clear she viewed them as mere insects, insignificant compared to her newfound power. With a flick of her wrist, she unleashed a wave of red energy. The ground split open, and a surge of fiery tendrils shot towards the group.

Gojo stepped forward, raising his hand. "Infinity," he murmured, his technique creating an invisible barrier that halted the tendrils in their tracks. The air around him shimmered, the space between him and the goddess warping slightly. "Sorry, but you'll have to try harder than that," he quipped, his usual cockiness slipping into his voice.

Geto seized the moment, sending his curses forward. They lunged at the goddess, their monstrous jaws snapping and claws reaching. But she was unfazed. With a graceful movement, she waved her hand, and the curses were incinerated by a wave of red flames. The air filled with the acrid scent of burning flesh, and Geto gritted his teeth.

"Rei, now!" he shouted, and she reacted instantly. With a flicker, she teleported Geto and Gojo away from the immediate danger, reappearing a safe distance away. The goddess's attack struck where they had been standing, leaving a smouldering crater.

Yaga, positioned slightly behind the others, called for backup. He spoke into his communicator, his voice tense. "We need reinforcements now. The situation is worse than we thought." He glanced at the goddess, his face a mix of fear and determination. "We can't let her leave this place."

As if sensing Yaga's urgency, the goddess turned her attention to him. Her lips curled into a mocking smile, and she raised her hand. A sphere of red energy formed above her palm, crackling with destructive power. She hurled it towards Yaga, the orb tearing through the air with a terrifying speed.

Gojo and Geto reacted quickly, moving to intercept. Gojo raised his hand, intending to use his technique to stop the attack, but the goddess anticipated it. With a flick of her fingers, the sphere split into multiple smaller orbs, each one homing in on a different target.

Rei's eyes widened in horror as one of the orbs sped toward her. She teleported just in time, reappearing next to Yaga and pulling him out of harm's way. The orb struck the ground where they had been standing, the explosion sending shockwaves through the air.

Despite their efforts, the group's situation was growing dire. The goddess's attacks were relentless, each one more powerful than the last. The ground around them was scorched and broken, the air thick with the smell of smoke and ash. Gojo and Geto were breathing heavily, their faces slick with sweat and dirt. Even Gojo's limitless technique couldn't fully negate the goddess's overwhelming power.

With a sudden, swift movement, the goddess unleashed a powerful shockwave. It hit them like a tidal wave, sending them flying backward. Gojo slammed into a wall, the impact knocking the wind out of him. Geto crashed to the ground, pain flaring through his body. Rei, though less physically strong, was thrown to the side, her teleportation technique not fast enough to save her from the blast. Yaga, too, was caught in the shockwave, groaning as he struggled to his feet.

As they lay on the ground, battered and bruised, the goddess floated above them, her expression impassive. It was clear that, in her eyes, the battle was already over. She raised her hand, preparing to deliver the final blow.

It was then that Yaga, struggling to his feet, remembered something. His eyes widened, and he cursed under his breath. "Damn it..." he muttered, clutching his side where he had been injured. He looked at the others, his expression grim. "There's a way to stop her."

Gojo, wincing as he got up, turned to Yaga. "What are you talking about?" he demanded, his voice strained but sharp. "What do we have to do?"

Yaga hesitated, the weight of his next words heavy on his conscience. "The legend... the only way to stop the goddess is to kill the host," he said, his voice low and filled with regret. "We have to kill Y/N."

The words hung in the air, a horrifying realization dawning on the group. Gojo's eyes widened, disbelief etched across his face. Geto's expression hardened, the reality of the situation crashing down on him. Rei covered her mouth, tears welling in her eyes.

The goddess, seemingly aware of their conversation, tilted her head, her expression inscrutable. For a moment, there was silence, broken only by the crackling of flames and the distant sounds of the facility collapsing.

The group stood there, battered and broken, facing the impossible choice laid before them. The girl they had come to save, the friend they had fought for, was now their greatest threat. To save the world, they would have to sacrifice her.
