Flirting with the general

Kinkajou was feeling like a super-cool action character in one of her Boyfriends many scrolls and it was great. She was back out with all of her friends and 'fighting the good fight'. That's at least what Queen Thorn told them, and Queen Thorn was super cool so whatever she said had to be true. Unfortunately for the small Rainwings' happy and upbeat mood, the next destination for the few members of the former Jade Winglet and others was somewhere close to the Ice kingdom, and not sure if you've heard anything about the Ice kingdom  but it's cold. Like, super dumb cold.

Now, perhaps she was being a little dramatic about the temperature drop considering the fact that she Knew Winter was only allowing them to fly toward areas that wouldn't kill them but still, it was really freaking cold. She turned her head as she flew to see how the rest of the winglet was faring and she was allowed a rather selfish bit of relief that the literally no one but Deathbringer, Winter, and Peril were doing any better than her. Qibli looked as though he wanted to curl into a ball and just die; Moon mirroring his expression and overall demeanor so well Kinkajou almost laughed. Turtle was shivering and Umber who was doing the same looked over him with concern along With Kinkajou herself.

Before she could ask to rest, Winter seemed to recognize a mountain top and fly down to land upon it; The rest of the group gratefully followed the Icewing. Once they had all landed, everyone practically ran to peril in search of much needed warmth, which she happily supplied with a cute, awkward smile on her face. The Skywing was clearly trying to take both Clay and Turtle's suggestions to smile more and Kinkajou couldn't be happier with the application, if it wouldn't either kill or Permanently disfigure her for the rest of her life Kinkajou would have hugged Peril after a smile like that.

Moving on from the former gladiators' cuteness, Kinkajou looked over to Winter who was staring into the sky with a vaguely regretful expression on his face. Qibli and Deathbringer seemed to notice his mood and so they quickly went to snarkily comment on it. Deathbringer saying "No one should look sadder than me right now, I had to postpone my proposal." Along with Qibli asking "are you seriously brooding right now ice prince? After you dragged us all the way out here? This had better not turn out to be something where you heroically sacrifice yourself for our next clue." The both of those comments coaxed a small snort out of Winter as he turned to look at the rest of the group with a small lopsided smirk, causing Qibli's own smile to brighten a little.

Winter looked back to the sky a tad bit wearily before turning his eyes back to the group and swishing his tail as though attempting to shrug something off and saying "we'll find out what this is going to be soon enough." As if fate itself had heard the Icewings' words Deathbringer suddenly tensed up and looked towards the sky; Winter doing the same almost immediately afterwards before telling everyone to find someplace to hide. Deathbringer narrowed his eyes in a silent question and Winter responded with a firm headnod in his direction, leading to Deathbringer going to hide in the trees along with the rest of the group.

Kinkajou had the privilege of standing in front of Peril (the living sun) and camouflaging to hide her very noticeable presence. Turtle and umber were hiding somewhere among the trees Whilst moon was halfway hidden behind Darkstalker along with Qibli who would have probably had to hide with Kinkajou had she been any bigger.

The Rainwing turned her attention back onto Winter who was now staring into the sky with an expression that looked more exasperated than what she'd been expecting. Around two seconds later a smaller Icewing came barreling down towards him, tackling Winter to the ground with such speed and precision that for a moment Kinkajou was scared that the other dragon intended to kill Winter and had to consciously stop her scales from shifting colors.

Kinkajou looked on worried until Winter gave a rather playful groan and batted the other Icewing away with one of his wings. The assailant got off of Winter quickly with a small giggle before smiling and offering him a forearm; one to which he glared at for a moment but ultimately accepted. Once he'd stood up and shaken himself free of small flakes of frost, the other Icewing spoke and Kinkajou realized with a small start that it was the Ice kingdoms' diplomat, Lynx. She had a teasing lilt to her voice as she said "I win again! That is... 246 wins to what again?" Winter used the same fond, tired voice he tended to use with Qibli when he responded "5, but who's counting."
