"𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦,

"Ah, shithead." You whispered in your mind while staring at the guy sitting across from you — your sixth blind date, and already making you want to stab yourself with the dessert fork. Your expression was a mix of disgust and pure boredom, a scowl tugging at your lips.
From the moment he walked in, it had been a one-man TED talk about his "supposedly big-ass company." Stocks, mergers, profits, his golf swing, the latest car he bought just to "support the economy." God, how much could a man brag before choking on his own arrogance?
You tilted your head slightly, pretending to listen, but your eyes said otherwise. Every word he spat out only fueled the growing irritation buzzing in your chest. This wasn't a date. This was a business pitch. And you weren't interested in investing.
"Miss Kim, how was your date?" Secretary Park asked the moment you stepped out of the café.
"Bad. Don't ask me about it," you snapped, heels clicking against the pavement as your chauffeur rushed forward to open the car door. You slipped inside with a sigh, tossing your purse on the seat.
"So... should I give Mrs. Kim the review now itself?" Park asked carefully, already unlocking her iPad like she knew the answer.
"Yes. Tell her to stop this blind date thing. I'm only twenty-four and doing very well on my own," you said sharply, brushing imaginary dust off your designer dress.
Park only nodded and quickly began typing notes, as efficient as always.
You leaned back against the leather seat, staring out the tinted window. For anyone else, being set up with the heirs of conglomerates and CEOs would've been a dream. For you? It was a waste of time.
Because you weren't just anyone.
You were Kim Y/N, daughter of the Kim family — the name that could make Wall Street tremble and politicians smile too wide. The Kims weren't just rich. They were billionaires. Old money, new money, global money. Real estate, tech, luxury fashion houses, entertainment industries, international banks — your family had its claws in everything. If it made billions, chances were there was a Kim signature behind it.
And as the only daughter of the empire, you'd grown up with the weight of that crown — and the freedom that came with it. People called you spoiled sometimes, but you weren't. Spoiled kids whined when they didn't get their way. You? If you wanted something, you made sure you got it. Simple.
That's why these blind dates annoyed you. You didn't need some heir, some wannabe businessman, to "take care" of you. You had money, power, and the Kim legacy at your back. The only thing you didn't have? Someone who could keep up with you.
And judging by date number six, that man didn't exist.
You were at the dinner table with your mother, your father, and your very own pet dog, Holly. Of course, Holly wasn't just curled up on the floor like some ordinary pet.
