The headlines were everywhere.

"The song of the year."
"Billboard's No.1—an anthem that defines a generation."
"Y/N sets a new record, proving once again why she's the industry's it-girl."

Clips of your voice flooded the media—late-night talk shows, reaction channels, and endless TikToks using that one addictive chorus. The world was humming to your song, but right now, the world you cared about was smaller.

"Done," your makeup artist whispered, stepping back with a proud smile. You gave a polite bow of thanks, the kind you always did no matter how many times you sat in this chair. A few touch-ups later, you were walking under the glaring studio lights, the set draped in Dior's newest campaign colors.

Cameras flashed the second you struck your first pose. A tilt of the chin, a flick of your wrist, a gaze sharp enough to silence the room—every move rehearsed yet effortless. The photographers murmured their approval. "Perfect, hold that! Gorgeous! Yes, that's the one!"

You shifted, lips curving just enough for the shot. This was your arena—the stage, the studio, the spotlight. To the public, you weren't just a singer or a face. You were the girl who turned every release into a headline, every appearance into a trend.

And yet, behind the flawless image, there was just you—breathing through the adrenaline, waiting for the next thing.

Because in your world, there was always a next thing.

"Girl, your song was lit! When did you start getting freaky?"

You nearly dropped your phone at the sudden shriek echoing through your apartment. Turning, you saw Jisoo standing in the doorway, her wide grin as dramatic as ever.

You rolled your eyes but couldn't stop the smile tugging at your lips. "I guess that's what twenty-four makes you do," you teased, standing up to hug her. It had been weeks since you'd seen her—your schedules always pulling you in opposite directions. She was your high school best friend, still your closest confidante, now working as a lawyer. And despite how different your worlds looked, with her briefcase and your mic, nothing had really changed between you two.

"Three days off?" she asked, dropping her bag on your couch like she owned the place.
"Finally." You exhaled dramatically, stretching out your arms. "I plan to sleep, eat, and binge something mindless. Don't try to stop me."

"Or..." Jisoo smirked, dragging the word, "you could come with me to an F1 match this weekend."

You blinked at her. "...A what match?"
"Formula 1. Car racing."
You laughed, shaking your head. "Why would I go watch a sport I know absolutely nothing about?"

"Because it's fun!" she insisted, flopping onto your couch like a lawyer on a mission. "People don't have to know everything about a sport to enjoy it. Half the crowd just shows up for the atmosphere—the sound, the adrenaline, the whole vibe. And also..." She leaned in, lowering her voice like it was a state secret. "My boyfriend works on one of the F1 teams."
