"Dai, wake up. You will be late on your first day of college," called his mother, Keiko, as she knocked on his bedroom door.

Dai groaned, half asleep, but the excitement of the day nudged him awake. Today was the beginning of his university journey, and despite the early hour, he felt a flutter of anticipation in his chest. He rolled out of bed, stretched, and made his way to the bathroom to freshen up.

Downstairs, Keiko was busy in the kitchen, expertly flipping pancakes while humming a cheerful tune. She was a warm, nurturing presence in the household, always ensuring everyone started their day with a smile. Dai's father, Haruto, was seated at the kitchen table, engrossed in the morning newspaper. Haruto was a respected architect known for his innovative designs that seamlessly blended modernity with traditional Japanese aesthetics. His meticulous nature and passion for his work were evident in everything he did.

"Morning, Keiko," Haruto said, peering over the top of his newspaper with a smile.

"Good morning, dear," Keiko replied, returning the smile as she placed a plate of freshly cooked pancakes on the table.

In the hallway, Dai's elder brother, Ryuji, was adjusting his tie in the mirror. Ryuji, with his sharp intellect and charismatic personality, worked as a tech entrepreneur, co-founding a successful startup that developed cutting-edge AI solutions. Despite his demanding job, Ryuji always made time for his family and was a constant source of inspiration and guidance for Dai.

"Looking sharp, Ryuji," Dai teased as he joined his brother in the hallway.

"Thanks, Dai. Excited for your first day?" Ryuji asked, giving his younger brother a reassuring pat on the back.

"Absolutely! I'm going to make a lot of friends," Dai replied cheerfully.

In her room, Dai's elder sister, Yumi, was getting ready to leave for her university. Yumi was in her final year, majoring in fashion design, a field that perfectly suited her creative and trendsetting personality. She was known for her impeccable style and often designed clothes for her friends and family, showcasing her talent and eye for detail.

"Have a great first day, Dai!" Yumi called out as she grabbed her bag and headed out the door.

"Thanks, Yumi! You too!" Dai responded, feeling a rush of gratitude for his supportive family.

After getting dressed, Dai joined his family in the kitchen. He greeted his father, mother, and brother with a bright smile.

"Morning, Dad. Morning, Mom," Dai said, taking a seat at the table.

"Good morning, Dai. Ready for your big day?" Haruto asked, folding his newspaper and taking a sip of his tea.

"Yes, Dad! I'm really looking forward to it," Dai replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"That's the spirit! You'll do great," Haruto encouraged.

Keiko called from the kitchen, "Dai, breakfast is ready!"

Dai quickly ate his breakfast, savoring the delicious pancakes his mother had made. As he finished, he grabbed his bag and headed for the door.

"Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad! See you later, Ryuji!" he called out as he stepped into his shoes.

"Have a wonderful day, sweetheart!" Keiko said, waving him off.

"Good luck, Dai!" Ryuji added.

Dai stepped outside, taking a deep breath of the crisp morning air. He was headed to the University of Tokyo, one of Japan's most prestigious institutions. He had chosen to major in Business, a field that fascinated him with its combination of strategy, leadership, and the potential to innovate in various industries. Dai loved the idea of understanding how companies operated and finding ways to make them more successful and sustainable.

As he walked to the train station, Dai thought about what lay ahead. The University of Tokyo was renowned for its rigorous academic programs and vibrant student life. He couldn't wait to meet new people, join clubs, and immerse himself in the university experience.

The train ride was uneventful, giving Dai a chance to reflect on his journey so far. He felt a surge of gratitude for his family, who had always supported his dreams and encouraged him to pursue his passions.

Arriving at the university, Dai was struck by the grandeur of the campus. Historic buildings stood alongside modern architecture, creating a unique and inspiring environment. He checked his schedule and headed to his first class, Introduction to Business.

The lecture hall was buzzing with energy as students filed in, chatting excitedly. Dai found a seat near the front and began to set up his laptop. He glanced around, observing his new classmates. Some looked just as eager as he felt, while others appeared more apprehensive.

The professor, Dr. Nakamura, entered the room and immediately commanded attention with his presence. He introduced himself and outlined the course, emphasizing the importance of curiosity and perseverance in the field of business.

"Remember," Dr. Nakamura said, "this journey is not just about acquiring knowledge, but about cultivating a mindset of innovation and problem-solving."

Dai listened intently, feeling more inspired with each word. As the lecture progressed, he found himself thoroughly engaged, taking notes and asking questions. The concepts were challenging but exciting, and Dai felt a deep sense of fulfillment.

After the lecture, Dai had a break before his next class. He decided to explore the campus a bit more. Wandering through the courtyard, he marveled at the blend of nature and architecture. Cherry blossom trees lined the pathways, their blossoms adding a touch of magic to the surroundings.

As part of their introduction week, all new students were required to select a club to join. This was an important part of the university experience, fostering community and providing opportunities for personal growth. As Dai walked through the bustling courtyard, he noticed booths set up by various clubs, each trying to attract new members. There were so many options, it was overwhelming.

Some of the clubs included: music club, photography club, drama club, sports club and so on.

Dai wandered from booth to booth, intrigued by the diverse range of interests represented. Each club offered something unique, and Dai found it difficult to choose just one.

"Hey, Dai!" called a familiar voice. It was Hana, a classmate from high school who had also enrolled at the University of Tokyo. "Have you decided on a club yet?"

"Not yet," Dai admitted. "There are so many great options, I don't know where to start."

"Same here," Hana said, glancing around. "I'm thinking about joining the Photography Club. What about you? What are you interested in?"

"Well, I've always loved music," Dai said. "But I also think the Debate Club could be fun, and the Environmental Club seems really important."

"Why not visit each one and see which feels right?" Hana suggested. "You have time to decide, after all."

Dai agreed and went to visit each one.
