-Who is this?" Asked my brother in a deeply annoyed tone with a hint of disgust as he glared at Hannadreda who was still holding my wrist.
-Thi-this is Hannadreda, the student council president." I explained while gesturing toward her with my free arm while putting up a smile on my face.
Seeing my brother frown slightly before repeating the beginning of her name in a thoughtful tone, I became rather confused over his reaction, which wasn't helped by his following question:
-Do you know where she is from?" He quizzed with a hint of overconfidence, as if he knew something I didn't.
-D-darv...?" I answered, unsure of both my response and what my brother meant in his question.
-From which clan or family?" Demanded my brother after a slight chuckle as his overconfident smile only grew wider.
-N-n-none." I reluctantly uttered, knowing full well that my brother wouldn't approve of her in any capacity if she was a commoner.
-With what achievement?" He pressed one as I staggered a bit.
-I haven't been informed of any." I truthfully answered.
-So, the student council president of the great Xyrus academy is a dwarf girl with no name or remarkable achievements?" He rhetorically asked. "Does she at least have voice?" He added with an unusual amount of mockery.
Turning to glance at her, Hanna was frozen in place with her head lowered and a shaky hand while the other still firmly held onto me. All the emotions I had seen her display just a few moments ago, and even her usual composed self, were replaced by, what I could only describe as fear.
The brave dwarf girl had been petrified by the mere sight of my brother, her face having turned pale as her breath became noticeably quicker and shallow, while her eyes stayed wide open while fixing nothing.
I didn't understand, why would she be so scared of my brother?
-Although I had come to talk with you of a different matter, I now see that getting rid of this pest is a priority." Explained Bairon as I jerked my head back around to see his tall, almost towering figure stand in front of me, his bright white uniform with golden trims making it hard to focus on him because of just how much light it reflected. "Why would director Goodsky appoint someone like her in such a position?"
-I-I don't kno-
-Don't avoid the question." Snapped my brother, causing me to stager once more.
-Sh-she is a dwarf, so appointing her could be a political message about accepting the other races in Xyrus academy; a-and the human kingdom." I added after witnessing my brother's displeased glare as I felt bad for diminishing Hannadreda's status and all the work she probably did to get the position.
-If it was just about appointing someone from a different race, any dwarf from a well-established noble family would have been far less controversial." He immediately answered, not letting me any time to think.
-Th-then it's probably because she is far more talented than them, a-after all she already has an orange mana core, is able to utilize earth magic, knows how to wield a sword, is a great orator, is charismatic yet kind and well-meaning, is open to listen to everybody's troubles, is able to act effectively and rationally, has shown to be just and fair, doesn't discriminate against any group, has a good level in most classic studies like math, languages, history or even chemistry along with the willingness to spend her time to help others without waiting for anything in return and many, many other talents that make her truly incredible." I answered with a second to spare while throwing my free hand around in a slight panic to try and support my words.
