"Papa, Papa! Look, look ! I'm catching up!" Excitedly, mentally shouted Sylvie as I glanced outside the window only to see the little dragon comfortably sited on top of Grawder, Curtis' bond, who was running with everything he had, although I wasn't sure if he was doing so to catch up with us, or if it was out of fear from Sylvie.

"I didn't know you had become a little dragon tyrant" I answered back with a teasing tone.

"I'm not a tyrant, he agreed to it." She defensively answered before taping her paws against the lion's back, causing a shiver to go down his spine as he accelerated even faster. "See." She added in a proud tone, I comically sighed disappointingly before looking back inside.

-Did something fun happen?" Quizzed Tess with curious and playful eyes as she leaned a bit closer to me, her face now only a few centimeters away from mine.

-Sylv is having a power trip." I answered with a dismissive gesture while letting the amused smile on my face on full display.

Frowning a little, Tess glared at the scenery going by behind me before leaning further to reach the window, pressing me between her and the sofa as she pushed the windows open and shouted, something about fair wage, which I couldn't make out over the sound of the engine.

-I don't think she heard you." I told Tess while trying to speak loudly without being at the point of shouting, all while rather unsure of where to put my hands since she everywhere I could place them.

-WHAAAT?!" Shouted the elf princess as he jerked her head back to look at me, visibly also unable to make out my own words.

Having found a use for my hands, I grabbed onto her shoulder before firmly, but gently pulling the girl back to her sit, at which point I shut down the window, enabling me to repeat what I had meant to tell her earlier.

-I don't think she heard you, and to be fair, I don't think she has a clear understanding of the value of money, nor would Grawder. Not that he could do much with the money anyway, not that Sylvie has any money to start with." I added in a thoughtful tone as I narrowed my eyes, trying to picture what Sylvie handing out a pay-check would look like.

-If only she had a parent could explain such topics to her remotely." She asked with a sly smile. "But I guess I could act as replacement and become a responsible and reliable mother." She proposed, knowing that she was serious about acting as Sylvie's mother, but being less confident over how incompetent of a parent she thought I was.

-Wouldn't it be more efficient to got about this as a team effort?" I suggested with an uncharacteristic open and compromising tone, having by now long understood that it was futile to oppose Tess's decisions, especially since most of them were pretty decent, and that it was far better to work with her on the different issues. "After all, parenting is usually done as a duo." I replied while extending a hand toward her.

Leaning closer to me once more, the girl gave me a half teasing, half knowing but definitively loving smile and explained that, if I saw myself as Sylvie's father, and agreed to let her become the little dragon's mother, it meant that I implicitly agreed to take her as my wife.

However, before I could refute her claim, a sudden shock caught me off guards and had me fall forward, accidentally pinning Tess down against the sofa as I tried to stabilize myself.

-I thought you'd want to wait for after the wedding to expand our family, but I wouldn't mind starting now?" She commented in a teasing tone while laying on the couch defenselessly, her long, silver hair spread around in a random yet seemingly intricate pattern while contrasting with the red fabric, all of this, causing her bright emerald-like eyes to stand out even more as she looked deep in mine.
