{Tessia Eralith}
Peaking over the wet stone wall we were hiding behind, I observed the Wykes mansion. With its 3 stories, pristine white walls, incredibly large windows and layers of decorations, in other words, perfectly bland, tasteless human noble architecture.
-I hate this building." I said as I narrowed my gaze on it, noting that the only benefit of the situation being that the rain had calmed down significantly.
-Yeah, Versailles was much more impressive anyway." Answered Arthur, who was standing to my right, in a bored tone as he also looked at the mansion.
-What's Versailles?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, having never heard of any mansion or castle by that name.
-Maybe we should focus on saving Lucas instead of arguing about dumb names?" Rhetorically snapped Hanna who was to my left as she glared at us, forcing me to concede as I put that question on the back burner for now.
-Any idea where he might be locked away?" I asked as I tried to estimate how long it could take to find him in there, while taking in consideration the fact we are both clueless on what the building's layout might be and in which quarter Lucas might be stashed away.
-His room." Hanna after half a second of reflection, both of us raising an eyebrow in doubt at her own answer.
-He is in the basement." Answered Arthur without a bord like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
-Do you really think that his father hates him that little much?" Asked Hanna with a raised eyebrow.
-Yes." We both answered at the same time once again, him with confidence, me with restrained fury, both of our words oozing with disgust against Lucas' father.
-Well, at least that's where he told me he was being kept whenever he disobeys his father." Added Arthur, causing Hanna to start fuming in anger, as I got worried that she might just rush in by herself.
-Let's get moving." She said, staring daggers at the entire mansion while wearing an expression of pure anger.
-Yeah." I answered while grabbing her hand before reaching for Arthur's, at which point I casted an invisibility spell on all three of us followed by a couple of sound barriers around our selves to stop any possible sound we could make from being heard outside, while letting us hear each other at the same time by following the rather convoluted process of lowering the sound's wavelength far below what anyone could hear and turning it back up to the appropriated wavelength once it reached our ears.
Standing up, I concentrated on invisible platform we were already standing up to see above the wall and raised up a bit higher until we could simply step over the wall that marked the out perimeter of the Wykes mansion, onto another platform I had raised up and which brought us back down to ground level.
Having already executed what was essentially the most technically demanding part of the plan, we simply walked forward onto the main path leading to the wide open mansion doors.Getting past the guards, who were none the wiser, I felt Hanna's hand squeeze against mine.
Although I could have let go of them after casting the spell, I would lie if I said that I didn't appreciate having an excuse to hold Art's hand and a way to make sure Hanna didn't run ahead and do something stupid.
-Are you okay?" I asked while looking her way.
-I'm fine..." She answered with slight sense of guilt. "It's just that I can't stop thinking about how much trouble Lucas is in because of me."
-It's not your fault." Both me and Art answered at the same time, me on an assertive, uplifting tone, him on a more thoughtful, almost objective sounding one.
