-LUCAS!" Called Bairon in a rather familiar angry and annoyed shout as he loudly stepped toward us.

Fuming with anger at how that prick just interrupted the kiss I was about to have with his little brother, I stared at him with fury, barely containing my murderous intent as I glanced his way.

-Brother?" Asked a startled and flustered Lucas. "W-what are you doing here?"

-I could ask you the same question, Lucas." Snapped Bairon, who seemed even angrier than last time I met him. Standing up from the bench, in placed myself in front of Lucas, ready to protect him, even if I wasn't exactly sure of how to do that exactly.

-I don't remember inviting you here, lance, especially not to assault my colleague like that." I retorted while standing my ground, looking him in the eyes.

-This has nothing to do with you." Loudly snapped Bairon while gesturing for me to get out of the way. "I came here to fulfil my duty as an older brother and bring this disobedient child back with me."

-Lucas, disobedient?" I rhetorically questioned in a doubtful, irritated tone. "Do you even know your own brother?" I quizzed, turning the blame back on him without hiding my frustration.

-You have no right to question me, I have known this child since he was born!" He angrily snapped back. "Lucas has been ignoring our father's letters for weeks, and even if you managed to distract me during our last encounter, I will not back down this time. I'll bring him back to our family's domain myself, by force if necessary."

Frowning at that information, I turned my head around toward Lucas, noticing the small, but rapidly growing crowd that was forming around us. Seeing him turn his gaze away from mine with a guilty expression, I understood that as weird as it sounded, Bairon was right, but this wouldn't change my stand.

-And what if he didn't answer your father's messages? Is it worth interrupting this festival?" I asked, asserting how rude and wrong his request was.

-This matter is of the highest importance, him ignoring him while knowing the consequences is simply unacceptable." He insisted, stepping forward, closer to me, towering over me, looking down at me, both literally and figuratively.

-The only unacceptable thing is how you are treating your brother! He has the right to live his life as he wishes and not be disturbed by the likes of you or his father if he wishes so."

-What he has is a duty to his family!" Snapped Bairon. "But it doesn't surprise me that someone like you wouldn't understand what the duties of a noble to their family are, or what duties are in the first place."

-I won't let you denigrate the responsibilities I chose for myself and the people I fight for any further! I chose my duties myself because I believed them to be for the better, unlike you who just blindly followed what he is being told." I retorted with renewed determination, knowing that what I am fighting for is right.

-I won't let a commoner, much less a scum working for Unity, teach me about what is right or wrong!" He shouted back as I could see his hand twitching, as if he was about to pull out his weapon.

-Then, if you are so sure of yourself, why don't you tell everyone what the duties of Lance are in this kingdom?" I pressed with a shout.

-Are you threatening me?" He scoffed, his face twisting with a laugh and an inherent sense of superiority.

-I am." I answered without a hint of hesitation. "And I will as long as you keep acting in such a rude and disrespectful way toward your brother."

-Do you seriously love him enough to try and intimidate a Lance on his behalf?" He quizzed, his expression showing just how funny and absurd the situation looked to him.
