Diyanshi was reading a book sitting on the balcony of their room when Anvith came there. He was contemplating from the morning how to ask her. He sat beside her. Seeing him she put down the book and looked at him.

''You wanna say something??'' Diyanshi asked him.

''Yeah..woh actually..'' Anvith was getting hesitating.

''Anvith ji what happened??''

'' Do you remember what happened last night?''

''Yes.'' Diyanshi said intaking a breath.

''I don't want to make you or myself embarrassed or awkward recalling last night but I want to confirm one thing from you.'' Anvith told her.

Diyanshi had a vague idea of where this is heading. Nonetheless she nodded.

''Do you love me?? I vaguely remember you proposing to me last night. Did you really propose? Or I am imagining  things.'' Anvith asked her carefully. He was expecting her to burst out laughing hearing his nonsense or replying to something savage.

Instead she looked down calming her racing heart. She knows it now or never. She looked up at him, staring directly in his eyes who was waiting for her reply.

'' Yes.''

Anvith's eyes widened as he was not expecting. He got a feeling that she likes him but he didn't expect her to fall in love with him that too in such short time. It's not that they were in touch with each other before marriage.

'' It's true that I propose you last night. You are not imagining things. I am in love with you.''

''But how?''

''I don't know. I don't know how, when, where I don't have any idea. I only know that I love you and I want to spend my entire life with you beside me.''

He deviated his eyes from her and look towards the endless dark sky filled with twinkling stars. His brain, heart both were running in different directions. His mind is in chaos. This sudden relevation put him in dilemma. He doesn't want her to fall in love with him because he can't take the risk. But his heart was beating fast  hearing her confession. One part of him wanted to hug her tightly but the other part wanted to ran away from her to save her from the demons of his past.

''Anvith.''

''Give me some time to process everything. Good night,'' saying he stood up and went inside the room.

''Anv...''

She sighed. She leaned against the backrest of the recliner and closed her eyes. The cool breeze and the sounds of the nature calming her nerves.

''Did I do something wrong by saying him the truth?'' She asked herself.

''No, Oneday you have to told him right?? You can't just keep him in dark  your entire life.''  Her subconscious mind said.

''But what if he started distancing himself from me?''

'' Then you cover the distance and go close to him. Love is the most beautiful feeling as well the most complicated feeling. Falling in love is easy but getting that love and remaining in love is not. You have to fight for it. Don't give up so easily Diyu.'' Her subconscious said.

She nodded at herself and stood up taking the half read book. She closed the balcony door and went inside to see Anvith sleeping in his side with his back towards her side.

She placed the book in the shelf and went to sleep after putting off the lights. She turned towards him to see his back. She sighed and slept looking at him.
