Chapter 44 : Punishment

''Yeh to bass trailer tha, poori picture abhi bhi baki hai, my dearest hubby.'' She said smiling.

''Why were you trying to run away from me, Anvith?" She said seriously.

He looked down not having any answer.

''You were not well..''

''Don't give me these dumb excuses. Listen patidev, you can lie or give excuses to anyone but not me. These all don't work for me. So I want to hear only the truth.'' She said with a stern voice.

''Eyes on me when I am speaking to you.'' She said and he looked up at her eyes.

''What happened Veer?? Won't you tell your Chipmunk??" This time she asked softly.

''Because it's all my fault. Because of me you were in that condition. To make me weak, to destroy me, my enemy targeted you.

I am not good for anyone, Chipmunk. Whoever I get close with they are always snatched away from me. First my mother then you. I could not save my mother and I was on the verge of losing you. It's all because of me. Maybe I am a bad omen.'' He said looking down.

''Itni intelligence apki dimaag mein aati kaha se hain??" She asked sarcastically.

''So basically you thought that you are a bad omen for me so you should stay away from me. You think it's all happened because of you??"

''Yes, and it's not about my thinking, it's the fact that you were in that situation because of me. And I am really a ba...''

''Stop right there Mr.Anvith Veer Singh Rajvansh. Don't you dare say that word again.'' She said with authority. She was looking scary.

He gulped a lump. True to say, he was scared. Scared of her. Well which men  are not scared of their wives. And here in his case she is no less than the Devil himself.

'' From when did you start to fear your enemies, Anvith?" She asked looking straight in his eyes.

''As far as I know My Anvith can go to any extent to protect his loved ones. He doesn't hesitate even for a moment to punish those who harm his close ones.''

''Then why are you getting scared now?? If it's because you love me then don't. I don't want to be your weakness Veer. Love can be both strength and Weakness for a person. It depends upon him/her how s/he takes it. And I don't want to be your weakness. I want to be the strength for you. I want to be the shoulder you can hold on.''

''And how are you protecting me by staying away from me, where you are hurting both me and yourself.'' She said. He looked down realising his mistake.

'I am an idiot.' He said in mind.

'Yes,You are.I told you before too but you dumb brainless person was not understanding.' His conscience said.

''I am sorry.'' He said cutely while pouting.

She was on the verge of melting by his cuteness. If it was another situation she would have just pinched and kissed his cheeks. But not now. She cannot lose now she has to make sure that he doesn't repeat his mistakes.

''Sorry worry se kuch nehi hoga. Jab galti ki hai tab saza bhi bhugat ni padegi, Patidev.'' She said with a smirk.

''What? What do you mean?"

''It's time for punishment baby.'' She said smiling evilly while coming towards him like a predator eyeing her prey.

She slowly opened her shrug which was transparent. Her red lacy bra came in his view making him take a sharp intake of breath. He just loves this colour on her.
