He had to admit that this would be good for his business, it would be good publicity and it would make the world stop and think "hey, maybe this guy isn't such a man whore". The world saw him as a business man during the day but didn't really respect him much during the night, he was known for his reputation with strippers, strip clubs and sex clubs, drinking mass amounts of alcohol. He wanted to change that badly and he would be willing to do anything but if this was that anything he wasn't so sure about it. Dating wasn't really his thing, seeing people wasn't really his thing and taking care of people wasn't really his thing, so for him to be a part of this that most likely include all three of those things. Especially at the fact that it was a girl he would be taking in.
"Think about it this way, she can be an Intern here at the office who needs a place to stay. Dont necessarily think of it as your taking care of her....just helping her per se."
Oliver Khatib, his long time friend and well trusted manager, nodded his head in agreement. Of course he agreed, because it was his idea. He wanted to help out as much as he could with the reputation thing, especially after this last ordeal, recently a stripper made accusations about being pregnant with his child. That made the forth accusation since 2015 began and it wasn't anything new, except this stripper claimed she was given aids as well as a baby. Oliver sat up in his chair and cleared his throat
"She could be your secretary, it would give us a reason to fire Sharon."
"i like Sharon."
"she has narcolepsy... We lose business every time she answers the phone because she can never stay awake."
It was sad but true, they needed a new secretary. Badly. But he was basically thinking of every reason possible to not do this, not that he had an issue with anything really. Women slept in his house all the time, he needed a new secretary, he needed his reputation to be on the brighter side. He just didn't enjoy the thought of having to take care of her, have her with him 24/7, constantly having to make sure she was staying out of trouble. It was for a good cause, for the both of them to be in fact, he would keep her out of trouble and she would keep him out of trouble, they were meant to be a pair but he just didn't feel right about it. Being the founder of a large business like OVO, Octobers Very Own, was a lot of responsibility and having to babysit a person was just adding on to it. Not to mention she was 24 years old according to Steve. Aubrey Graham is the him i have been referring too, he was a large music mogul but decided to settle down around the age of 28, last year, and focus more on what the production of OVO was all about. He was more of a business man per se, helping other young artists who were signed under the label with his music genius and helping with and organizing a lot of fundraisers to help make the world a better place. Like i said, he was a role model to millions during the day, but night is when nobody wanted anything to do with him
"Look, Aubrey. Your not only my boss, but your a great friend to me. Always have been like a younger cousin or brother, and i really think you could benefit from this. The whole company as a family could benefit from this, but mainly you. She needs you, and you need her. Simple."
He exhaled as he maneuvered his swivel chair to face the large floor-to-ceiling windows that were on the back side of his office, with a view over the city of Toronto. He had many offices, many buildings set up in America and even one in London, but the building he retained to the most was in his home town. After he decided to cut his music career and focus more on business he pretty much moved the entire crew to Toronto, of course he still owned the house back in California but now they all had condos. He bought out a whole plot of them so they all lived in the same gated community, just not in the same house which is how it was back in America. He made a steeple with his fingers and placed it under the tip of his nose, exhaling once again in frustration. He didn't really know what he had to be frustrated about, it was a simple yes or no answer. It was just behind it that made him stressed, he literally had to provide everything for her, a house, clothes, food, love. He had to protect her from danger and getting into trouble which is the reason she was in the program in the first place. The Protection Program was an organization made for parolees who recently got out of jail for more then there third time, it was a brilliant idea and 98% of people who were in the program never saw the darkness of a jail cell again. It was an amazing program which is why it would be so good on Aubrey's part as well, it wouldn't just keep her out of trouble but him as well because he was expected to be a good example.
"Here is a picture."
He turned his chair back around slowly like how the bad guys would in a movie while Steve slid a Polaroid photo across the desk. He picked it up and stared down at her while scratching at the side of his beard, he wasn't usually one for beards. He either kept him self clean shaven or had a nicely groomed five o'clock shadow but lately hes been feelin the whole beard thing, mainly because being the head of a huge business corporation was tiring and he was simply to lazy. She was young looking, had a small smirk to her face so he knew off the bat she would have an attitude issue, her eyes were calm but he could tell beyond that she was a bomb just waiting to explode once again, which is why she was in the program. He didn't know why she had been to jail more then three times but he was curious to find out. She was hard to read, as if she were a book written in mandarin Chinese, which for the record he did not know how to speak. He looked up and gave Steve back the photo before taking in a deep breath
"fine...i'll do it."
Oliver looked just as surprised, if not more, as Steve. He took the photo back and smiled before standing and gathering up the papers placing them back in his file, he stuck out his hand and Aubrey reluctantly gave him a nice handshake
