She was in heaven. All of her friends, all of the people she grew to love, all of the people she knew as family. The music played low as the aroma of barbecue hit her nose, she danced to the tunes with her friends in pure bliss. She couldn't remember the last time the whole gang, and all the gang friends got together for a kickback, this was Ninas going away party and she wouldn't want it any other way. She wouldn't eat the meat of course but there was a Ton of food she loved, what's better then good food, good friends and good music?
"Havin fun?"
"Rico this is great. Thank you so much."
She threw her arms around him and hugged tight. She had been there about an hour now and she didn't even care about what consequences she would have when she got back to the OVO Crew. Her tracking bracelet was vibrating non stop, it would stop maybe for 30 seconds but then continue up again for another 5 minutes.
Back at the H.A.W party Aubrey was freaking out non stop, she wasn't supposed to leave and she wasn't supposed to go to far. Aubrey offered the bracelet to Oliver as a suggestion but clearly it was a bad idea, no matter how much he called her back, no matter how much he pressed the red button she didn't come back.
The bracelet came with a remote, on the remote was a red button. Once the button was pushed it would vibrate and give signal to say "come back", but the thing is. Nina wasn't coming back. Oliver didn't know and Aubrey didn't want him to know, god on knew what he would do as a punishment. The warnings he gave to her scared him because he didn't know what came after the warnings.
"Nina, come back please."
He mumbled to himself as he continued to hold down the button, he stayed away from the VIP section but clearly that was only making everyone more suspicious.
"Yo, what's wrong? You should be drunk right now. You should be with multiple naked bitches right now."
He turned around to see both Ryan and OB standing there looking a bit puzzled. He could trust them, they knew about his feelings for Nina, then again everyone did.
"I can't find Nina, don't tell Oliver. Can you help me find her?"
Ryan's brows furrowed as OB chugged off the last half of his beer, he tossed the can to the side and shouted out. He was near buzzed and there was no doubt about it but even drunken help was better then none.
"Hell yeah. Scavenger hunt for Nina."
Ryan rolled his eyes upward at OB's drunk stupidity. He tossed his can to the side as well before taking in a deep breath of the hookah smoke filled air.
"I thought the bracelet had a GPS tracker on it."
"It does, but the signal only goes so far. She left the building and now she's to far."
"So wouldn't the signal be stronger if we left, we can drive around and the closer we get the stronger the signal right?"
"Right, but Texas is huge, the country is huge. She could be anywhere."
He knew she wouldn't leave Houston but he didn't want to tell them why it was bad that she wasn't responding. He made a promise to her that he wouldn't tell and he wasn't going to break that. No matter what.
"It won't hurt to try though, let's go."
Aubrey couldn't help but smile as the signal grew stronger, the tracker screen beeped as they got closer and closer which only made him more happy. Nervousness set in once he realized how bad of a neighborhood they were in, it was sketchy and he doubted not bringing security.
"Are you sure that thing is right? Why would she be here?"
"Well, that's what we're gonna figure out. Stop here."
Ryan stopped the car, the street was dark and gloomy, it looked like something from a ghetto crime movie. It was the project 808s to the fullest as every house had boarded up windows. Except one.
Windows were boarded but not all, it had green, plushy grass and it didn't fit in. There was music and happy voices coming from the backyard and according to the tracker, that's where
Nina was located. He didn't understand though, why would she leave a party to attend another one. But then it all clicked.
Her friends were here, her family. Her brothers and sisters, the only people she was truly happy around other then Aubrey.
"Hello?!"
Nobody was in the house, he felt bad for intruding but the front door was wide open. He walked out the back door and it was like World War II, the music stopped everybody got quiet and the only thing you heard was the cocking of guns. His hands shot up as nearly 30 guns pointed straight at him
"Yo, who the fuck is this?!"
One out of many of the people who held a gun up spoke first, Aubrey swallowed down as he began to regret coming. Why on earth would Nina be here?
"Aye, ain't that Ninas friend?"
One of the guys, Rico, stepped up after another guy spoke calmly. Aubrey smiled in relief to see him, usually he hated seeing him because he hated how Nina was all over him but now he was overjoyed.
"AUBREY!! .. Excuse me, sorry. Oh hey I didn't know you showed up.. Excuse me."
And there she was, her small body popped out from the crowd causing Aubreys heart to flutter. She smiled big as she ran up to him, you would think it would be a good thing that Nina was okay with him but really it made it worse. They all got a little closer and aimed as if one more sudden move would get his life taken from him. Nina wrapped her short arms around his torso and stood on her tippy toes to kiss his cheek
"Guys it's okay, this is Aubrey. Or Drake, whatever. Put away the guns, he's cool."
It was like a flipped switched. Instantly there guns went down, the music turned back up and the party started again. As scary as it was, it made Aubrey happy to know they cared this
Much about Ninas protection.
A group of guys all came up, washing Nina away like an ocean current. They hugged him and dapped him like they were long time friends.
"Somebody get this man a beer!!"
And after that, that's when the party really started.
