Author's POV
Barkha was sitting in her room, while planning something sinister against Adhrit.
Before, she didn’t want Anaisha and Adhrit’s marriage because of the status difference, but now, she feared her position in the family.
It was the first time Anaisha behaved with her like that, and also for the first time, Pranay went against her suggestion, to get Adhrit and Anaisha married. Before that, no one had ever gone against her words.
"That boy didn’t even get married yet, and I can already see everything getting destroyed here… God knows what will happen if he marries Anaisha? Nowadays, Anaisha is behaving like a maniac… She can’t see anything apart from that boy…"
"No, no, no… I can’t let this happen… I will never let this marriage happen!!" She assured herself for the nth time, and again started to think about her plan.
The ceremony was long finished, and everybody was in their respective rooms to sleep, as tomorrow was the busiest, most important, and most awaited day.
Tomorrow was the Wedding!!
In the morning, it was supposed to be the haldi ceremony, and in the evening, the wedding of Anaisha and Adhrit.
Everyone was already asleep, apart from some specific people…
Anaisha’s aunt Barkha, who was busy planning and plotting.
Adhrit’s father Namish, who was immensely concerned about his innocent son’s well-being.
Apart from them, sleep was far away from two other people as well, who were standing in front of their windows, staring at the shining moon in the dark sky.
Adhrit was staring at the moon with his hopeless eyes. He wanted the solace he had lost long ago, but still couldn’t get even an ounce of it. Instead, the thought of "Tomorrow is the wedding." was making him more and more anxious, and he couldn’t sleep even after multiple efforts.
Anaisha, on the other hand, was staring at the moon so intensely. For her, even the moon couldn’t match the level of her Adhrit’s beauty, but still, she was trying to find him in it.
Adhrit had a soothing effect within him, which instantly calmed her nerves. She found her solace in him. He had become her peace, and apart from him, she couldn’t find peace anywhere. She was happy, that finally, tomorrow, she would have her peace with her forever.
In all the chaotic thoughts, nobody noticed, when it was morning already.
Adhrit was fast asleep, as he had been awake almost half the night, staring at the moon.
Arjun came to wake him up, but the little prince wasn’t ready.
"Bhai, five more minutes please… I’ll wake up after that…", he said in his cute sleepy voice.
Arjun smiled at his little brother’s antics. He always used to do the same, but suddenly, his smile fell as realization hit him hard — that Adhrit’s life wasn’t going to be the same anymore. The life, in which this genuine happiness was far away from him.
Arjun again tried to wake him up and said in a sad tone, "It’s your wedding today, baccha… Get up early… It will be haldi in some time!"
At this statement, Adhrit’s eyes snapped open, as he realized that, he wasn’t living his carefree old life anymore.
He sat on the bed and nodded his head, indicating to his brother, that he was awake, and would get ready in some time. Arjun, getting his sign, left the room immediately.
